I’ve listened to a few football podcasts this week and some of them covered the Burnley defeat. We’ve rightfully earned the right to be ridiculed due to our shocking league performance so far but what irks me is the discussion on whether it was a “cup upset”. The so called experts say “of course it wasn’t” because only three places separate us in the football pyramid. Where’s the context here? We’re in a league that includes the best teams in the world, one that Burnley were relegated from last season. Burnley are in the same league that we pretty much breezed last season, and I’m sure we were in the exact same position Burnley are in now at the same stage of the season. Fair enough there’s not much between us on paper and I’m sure most of us wouldn’t describe it as a cup upset before or after the game, but the argument is meaningless without comparing the teams we face each week compared to Burnley. It won’t happen but I’d love us to restore a bit of pride for the rest of the season and give it a good go. It’s embarrassing that we’ve sunk this low.

My opinion. I called it after the West Ham game. He hasn’t improved us. He doesn’t deserve to stay on and it would be embarrassing if he does.

Thankfully I don’t think Juric will be here next season.

Joking aside, he’s really impressive. No doubt if he does well other teams will be hovering around, like Tottenham Hotspors.
