My take: Fonte has kept quiet so far. Any social media posts were hoaxes. For reports to suggest he's bemused at the lack of Europa League matches is laughable. In my opinion he wanted to go to United and didn't want to be cup tied. Puel would play Fonte with van Dijk as that's our best centre back pairing, even on a rotational basis. Fonte doesn't want to play for Saints. Fonte wants to go another club for a final pay day (probably Everton).
