  1. His goals per game ratio is horrendus in the league. Unless he intends to play barnsley every week. I hope not! The only thing I will say is that we are solid. But you don't win unless you score first. and we don't look like scoring in open play!
  2. Snodgrass didn't have the ball ffs. Not a pen, they pushed jostled with each other and snodgrass was weaker. Not a pen. Poch's fault. Left chambers exposed vs mr raw pace. Has no concept of how to play the counter attack, and played 2 many second string players. Why in ****s name did he take of lallana, we did nothing after that.
  3. Do you have image rights for the player or for England.. May not be the best bet to advertise them on the internet if not.
  4. Oh right, I thought we had Norwich away this weekend... Didn't realise it was the likes of spuds or manure instead. In truth 2-1 Norwich is a realistic score line. But sort your facts out next time!
  5. Ring sky, they are offering it to existing and ex-customers so say that you want it. That's what we did.. Cue that package for a year. They offered it to 3 other people we know so we were dead certain in our negotiating position... I guess you lot will only have some guys comment on a forum to stand on... people may think I'm BS's, but that's there look out, can't believe I am getting flack for mentioning it (Essruu and others). At the end of the day, if they want to be abusive, then I am not fussed.
  6. Spot on there, that thread is an embarrassment!
  7. Wellbeck's goal vs Scotland marked his 6th goal and a 100% shots to goal ratio... This dropped to 6 goals/ 7shots following his ambitious bicycle kick later that game... He is **** and should not be allowed anywhere near england. Ffs. By comparison Lambert has a respectable 1/3 shots to goal ratio.. Despite and missed the two clear cut chances. Well beck is not an effective striker for man united... But he is for whatever reason for england. To say otherwise is to be frigging ignorant tbh
  8. To put this in perspective, you can get all sky sports, movies, TV and BT sport for £14 a month of 2 devices or £19 per month on 4 devices then stream the odd game in pretty much top quality for free. You guys must be desperate to sign up for this dodgy ajs which could get canceled at any moment and has no custermer support....
  9. You must be in the minority as most aren't doing it. The section of the fan base that want this need to petition the club and get it addressed. Perhaps for a vote by those with season tickets on their views on a small area of standing only. At present it seems a small minority want it and are content to moan about those who don't do it.
  10. There has been a lot of talk on here recently about lallana needing to make the step up and not doing enough in matches. There has also been talk since Saturday over jayrods performance on the weekend. Lallana - For me, he is a very good player when attacking box, taking on fullbacks or cutting inside, basically when he has the opposition on the back foot and can use his skill and agility to turn them inside out and beat players. In comparison when we are deeper in our own half, he seems to have more time and loves doing the tidy turns (reminded me of Fernandes) where he will happily keep the ball but not really do any damage with it or go anywhere. He also seems complacent like a lot of the team, when we are under no real pressure in our own half. Passes go astray, slower tempo etc. This was illustrated on Saturday in the two halves against sunderland. First half we sat back a bit, not enough urgency and no real tempo. As a result lallana wasn't able to get at Sunderland players and spent a lot of his time in the middle 3rd of the pitch. Second half we went for them, more attacking, stretched them out and lallana was able to get on the ball in and around their box and take put the defenders on the back foot, using his skill to beat men, get crosses in, win corners and also get one cracking shot away. Jayrod - Jayrod in my honest opinion is made for either counter attacking football or Pooch's high press style of game where we can intercept the ball high up the pitch and he can then run at defenders when they are out of position. He is all about quick bursts of speeds and running into space.. That is when he is most dangerous... As he did against Liverpool and co last season. Sunderland - against Sunderland, first half especially, we were not able to play either counter attacking nor a really effective press (Sunderland didn't play possession football) they just parked 11 men behind the ball and sat deep. And first half we did not attack enough but were content to pass the ball across the halfway line, not getting it into really dangerous positions and not really playing to the strengths of of our attackers who can beat a man and then get a cross in. Second half we did this and we created far more problems. And last week against west brom we went for them from the off and looked much more dangerous against an better team. In short, I think we do have very good attackers and we should use them more and get at teams. What are people's thoughts?
  11. ha, well you have a fair grievance if the quality has dropped and the prices have increased. I long ago accepted it was a waste of money. for that amount you could just buy some nice sandwiches from M&S for example.. nothing to do about being lazy or not. I just think anyone who pays for the rubbish in the stadium has encouraged the club to charge those prices.... and it is a rip off quality wise. you are almost certainly right regarding this forum and a discussion over beers sold in the ground. the usual chap from block 18 is still there this year.... lagered up and letting fly with swear words from the 5th minute at anyone who mix controls, doesn't score or do exactly what he tells them. god forbid if the price or choice of half time pint(s) got any worse!
  12. he deserved, and should of been, sent off. has ability but bad attitude and will cost us points with needless red cards. time will tell but he certainly doesn't lack for fire or passion at least... just has to control it and he is a long long way from "a saint in the making"
  13. seriously... I take food and drinks in to every game... in broad sight of the stewards. mineral water, bags of chocolate' sandwiches etc. they do not care. do you need to buy yourself on £11 worth pies at half time? really? I would suggest that if you have the money to waste on substandard food like that, that you are probably just moaning for the sake of it tbh. if you were really fussed you wouldn't be buying it in the first place surely?
  14. Agreed, bunch of know it all college kids spouting utter bull to be honest. According to them, Morgan was a free transfer, and they have no records for us from before the premier... lazy BS.
  15. We will though.... With what we've spent NC will be after top 6 or 7 this year. Our first 11 is quality now. The best I have been alive for... and there is great potential. Wage to turnover last year was very healthy. We're also losing the dead weight slowly. Plus we seem to have some very good and crucially loyal kids coming through... With more to follow. Call me a happy clapper, but if NC says we are going to the top in the future then I won't disagree with him. I fail to see how we could have much more potential to do just that. I'm also realistic to know that we are only a few injuries off of the dreaded jos and fox combination on the left side of defense... But ultimately I think we are better on paper than Everton, wba, swansea , fulham etc. Close to Liverpool and still behind the top 5.... This team just needs a good (and injury free season) to develop confidence in how good they actually are! But likewise, we may not reach that potential, have a shocker with injuries and come 12th to 10th... I'm happy either way as long as we play good footy and develop youth. I'll say one thing though. If you can be excited now then when can you be excited... The potential is there but it may not last, so if you are stable enough to enjoy the highs and the lows, I'd enjoy this high right now!!!
  16. Barry, Looks like you better start attacking lovren... Oh and the entire squad as well http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11700/8882484/dejan-lovren-thinks-southampton-will-soon-be-top-four-challengers
  17. That in the know poster also said "Osvaldo won't be signing" - 2 days later......
  18. Restricted playing time limiting development, or do you think he wants to warm the bench? if he had stayed he would be going great guns, starting week in week out like shaw by now. may also have won the championship, either way he would have had some success.
  19. Personally, Ox and his father forced through a move to leave the club that had given him everything. I'm glad he got shafted to be honest. Will encourage future players to stick with the club.
  20. Saint86

    Mo Po

Is referring to him as "Pooch" also banned?
  21. Have you watched us play, its about as un-english as it comes. We are buying players to fit the bilbao mold... to play the football that destroyed man united in the europa league, and frankly last season as well. We have signed 3 quality signings..... 2 of them look settled allready... not to mention the fact that Poch has managed to bring through Chambers with ease... and is getting more out of warde prowse than many of the doubters on here imagined.... If you can't enjoy this you are either a permanent miserable git or a skate? Which is it.... Under Poch and NC this club is going to win things.... I literally only think 2 teams have got a first 11 that you would say is instantly better, and that is chelsea and city.... United I would take Van Persi and Vidic, Arsenal I wouldnt have anyone but the ox, Spurs i think we'd all take bale... but anyone else for the first 11 in a heartbeat. Morgan, wanyama, osvaldo, Lovren, Lambert, ramirez, clyne, shaw, jayrod and lallana.... just think back to players like chris perry, murty and wayne thomas.... they did a great job for us back then.... but are you really so miserable that you can't enjoy the rise?
  22. Well don't get me wrong, i think we hae a good team, and should aim to finish between 10th and 7th.... I am also aware that the defence looks horrendous without shaw and clyne... with yoshi also a doubt. If lambert gets injured i'll be placing a staggering bet on us getting relegated i suspect. We have a small squad in terms of quality depth. A good first 11 is no good if 2 or 3 key players are out with injuries.
  23. Whats that you smell nose.... BS.... ah yes.
  24. Are you aware that shaw and clyne are injured... yoshi and ramirez are unlikely to play the whole game (if at all) due the japan vs Uruguay fixture. Add to that the fact that we hardly ever beat west brom, and that we have NEVER won under this ref.... the last game being the Arsenal 6-1 i believe... Yup, i am excited.. to watch us fail to win at west brom!
  25. Don't zenit fans expect all there players to be white... sometimes you just have to except people for who they are... even small hairy gingers from a 3rd rate footballing nation.. after all, we waited ages for strachan to do a coherent prezza in english... I don't remember that ever happening.
