Not really. For a few years it was prodigious. But its in a lull at the moment. That is natural. Or do you see 10 Messi's at barca (one for each year of the last decade).

Given we just failed to beat a mid table championship side's second string; I think our fans should be a lot more humble about the proposition of Huddersfield. We'll do very well to get anything more than a draw here.

Huddersfield win for me.

Our attacking players just aren't good enough. And by this I mean the attacking mids / wingers. They can't finish, they aren't quick enough with their play, and they don't create enough decent chances for the striker. Selling Mane for £30m and not adequately replacing his attacking threat was probably the worst bit of business we've done since Bale and Fourpast.

What a load of rubbish this thread is. A guy fancies other guys.... let's start a 100+ post thread about it on a football forum. When you know your team's had a slow summer...

That is my take as well. And people are queuing up to thank her for it. Joke TBH.

And people were so quick to thank her...

The ****ing petty arguments on this site are embarrassing...

Nothing to do with a terrible injury. Always strange that people enjoy the misfortune of others.

Surprised he needed to come out tbh. Was pretty damn obvious to most? Anyway, who cares? People who make a big deal out of this are directly contributing to social stigmas.

Why is everyone crying about CB's and VVD.... We need more goals! It should be blindly obvious to everyone!

This will just make the whole market worse to be honest. Less time to make transfers, higher pressure. What they should have done was get rid of the transfer window full stop. Needless to say, people will just lap this up regardless.

Will be ironic if she's just sold us to the equivalent of Chanrai and we're all thanking her for it. But for what Marcus, Nicola and Katrina have done, we have certainly been very lucky to have them at the club.

+1 for the ignore list it is.

Theo Walcott anyone?

Will be blunt. I am not sure there is much between VVD's current ability, and where stephens will be at the end of the season. VVD is a fantastic footballer and a giant of a man who is superb physically but sometimes lacks intelligence. Stephens is a classy defender who is only getting better and better with each game I watch him. He's not VVD yet, but I can see him being very good.

I think we're in for a good season. And that means goals. Think we'll be solid at the with quite a few goals (+10 GD sort of territory). But not super tight like the last few years. Sadly we could have been stronger than we are, and it's another summer wasted in that regard by our board.

So. what your saying. Is that Argies sound like Mario and Luigi... I don't think so mate

Its been a poor window so far to be sure. plenty of time to go though!

MP is not Italian

Ditto. They are exactly what I expect and as they have always been. Oh for a nice surprise every once in a while.

What the hell are you talking about.

The point is that in footballing terms, we are signing bargain basement players, purely in the hope that they'll do well and we can flog them on. The club are taking the fans for a ride - our ambition is purely to make money. Full Stop.

I don't think people are moaning at the club because we aren't spending £45-50m on GF or RB. They are moaning because we desperately need defensive reinforcements and the club show no signs of getting them in. With our current defence we are going to struggle this year.
