I haven't watched the Norway, San Marino or Estonia games, forgot entirely about all 3 of them! I hate england and want them to fail whilst they insist on this ****.

Once again you prove how little you know Batman, when we bought Wanyama off we were all over them, their midfield was tired and we were in their box with chances. We gave up the midfield with the Wanyama substitution and were then under the cosh with Tottenham all over us directly as a result of that sub. Only chance we then generated was long hopeful balls in behind and Mane having one scuffed shot. Koeman gambled and lost with that sub. We had more chance of winning with the formation we had for most of the second half. Disappointed to lose that, we certainly had the better chances, but the poor substitution reduced our chances of getting back into it imho. Onwards and upwards, we did catch spuds on a good day and I still don't think there is anything whatsoever between the sides. Maybe we are destined to just lose to the Judas clubs.

Awful Awful change by Koeman, taking Wanyama off and ceding midfield to tottenham when we had them rocking. Total cock up!

Personally thought the ref has been fairly solid tbh. Consistent with Rose and Bertrand, advantage for Mane, no pen against us for possible handball. Think he has been decent. Sometimes favours the attacker who goes down to easily but is consistent in that and has overall had a decent game so far. Saints need to step it up second half and attack them. Showing too much fear atm. In koeman we trust though, and ultimatley even if we lose this game its not the biggest deal. We are very unlikey to come anywhere near the top 4 positions, so an away defeat against a top 6 side isn't exactly a disaster lets be honest. Expecting us to step it up second half however.

They played almost an entire second string tonight. Poch is taking the game on Sunday very seriously and is certainly going to go for it.
-
I'm less worried to be honest. We are second in the league, the players are loving it and its a great time at the club... Plus anyone who wants to see what its like at the big time clubs only has to speak to bertrand or see how well the judas players are doing to know the grass is not always greener on the other side. Final point, Clyne turned down united before joining us, and we gave him the right back squad and moved chambers on... expect him to show some loyalty after that tbh.

United to sign Matt Radcliffe following Tottenham match
Saint86 replied to Saint86's topic in The Saints
I'm here to help -
United are after Matt Radcliffe with the Daily Mail stating that he is destined to sign for them following the Tottenham game... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2776856/Manchester-United-set-poach-Southampton-team-physio-Matt-Radcliffe-help-club-s-injury-crisis.html "Manchester United are attempting to solve their crippling injury list by poaching Southampton’s first-team physio Matt Radcliffe. Louis van Gaal has nine players out with injury ahead of this weekend’s Barclays Premier League fixture with Everton. Radcliffe is regarded as one for the best physios in football and his last game before he joins United will be Southampton's trip to White Hart Lane on Sunday. The experienced physio has been lured to United at a time when they are attempting to speed up the recovery rates of a number of their most influential players. Michael Carrick (ankle), Marouane Fellaini (ankle), Phil Jones (hamstring), Ashley Young (groin), Jonny Evans (ankle), Chris Smalling (hip) and Ander Herrera (ribs) are among nine players in the medical room at Carrington. Radcliffe, will be on the bench at Saints for this weekend’s reunion with former manager Mauricio Pochettino before he starts his new role at Old Trafford." Would have thought we can match whatever United would pay one of our physios to be frank.

Was a great goal, living in Bristol and their my dads second team as well. We were both there and I had an instantaneous sinking feeling the second he received the ball. Utterly buried it! The A36 was solid Bristol rovers traffic after that game as well. Hopefully they'll turn it around this season, will be going to watch the Eastleigh game at the Mem for sure.

I said I was very unhappy with him towards the end of last season and was vilified for it, called a troll etc. Stand by my decision that there was/is better available than poch, and that allows for Koeman to not be one of them come the end of the season. His lack of interest in the league fixtures at the end of last season, injury record, disloyalty post Cortese and Sunderland were simply not good enough. People had their heads in the sand back then and were blinded by the fact that we were 8th... I would argue that he underachieved personally, but that is neither here nor there anymore. Things change fast in footy as we all know. Look again at Christmas and we'll have numpties expressing disappointment in Koeman, despite his start and the fact that he has had to build a team out of the scraps and left overs.

We lost 3-1 to west ham last season, and won 3-1 this season. Get it right ffs.

Yes it is, you are the only supporter i can even list that doesn't have a disklike of Lallana or Lovren and the way they conducted themselves this summer. The 5000 who went to arsenal gave chambers both barrells as well... and he is perhaps the most innocent bar Lambert. The simple truth is, chambers, shaw, lallana and lovren all sorted themselves out with nice moves around January/February time and gave the club no/little choice over the issue. I felt chambers getting booed was a tad harsh, but then I am reminded that he just jumped ship to take a shortcut at the very first opportunity. No real fell well and only a very token thanks to saints. These players deserve whatever they get from the fans. Lambert is the only one. He conducted himself with utmost respect for our fans, refusing to comment to the press until it was done and he had had his say. Only Lambert would be truly welcomed back. And sadly, Lambert is the one who will suffer the most from his move and will wish he had stayed, as it is, he will waste the twilight years of his career under appreciated in Liverpool when he would have been loved for all his days at Saints. Sad. Compare that to Lallana, he was loved and had it all here (except a big pay cheque), he didn't move for love (unless he is colour blind and thought anfield was goodison?!?!) And Lovren, well, after all his guff about loving the club and the fans and being grateful for being given a new chance... he is the worst one by far!

Hardly, the man is guilty as charged, but uses quotes out of context from our supporters, before responding with selective quotes of his own which dodge the question... It is utter manipulation to shame saints fans when in truth Martin Samuel has spent all summer milking the club and rejoicing in destabilising it from a media position. Disgrace.
-
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2769078/Southampton-emulated-Manchester-United-s-Class-92-instead-sell.html Basically selectively takes quotes from across the summer, takes time to take them all apart on his own terms and twisting the context - all in article where the fan's in question are openly attacked with no option for defence. All of it demonstrating he hates saints. All of it utter bull twaddle as well.

Liverpool at home.... Nothing else even matters

Anyone else think we could be on the verge of something special?
Saint86 replied to washsaint's topic in The Saints
Whilst I don't disagree that Koeman can't be judged yet and this could all be a very successful case of "new manager syndrome", you really can't state that this success is built on the back of poch's team... Or did I miss the mass exodus and unsettling that went on over the summer? We know longer have Lallana, Lambert or Lovren, or Shaw!! And we sold Chambers who played half the games under him. Not sure if you are trolling with that comment? However you want to put it, Koeman/board have basically dismantled Poch's want-aways and Koeman has built his very own team from the ashes! -
My arsenal supporting mate has just given me a link to a cracking stream, and it will remain that way by staying secret Steamking channel 11 was pretty good before that though
-
1 card from suspension as well apparently. Doubt he will play. To already have 4 yellow cards shows he is out of his depth where Wenger is using him. As for the game. There are Arsenal fans at work who think that even with the reported weakened squad they will comfortably beat our first team... I mean they literally have no shadow of doubt over that fact. Hope we smash them. Pelle, Tadic and Mane up front for at least an hour. Wanyama, Morgan and Cork in the centre, Solid back line with good rotation and Forster in goal. A good win over Arsenal will do wonders for further building are burgeoning team belief!
-
I thought we all trust the board now and that Les was getting a statue next to ML and NikNak? Is this not the case??
-
I believe it requires the standard 38 games does it not? Don't let that stop them amusing the rest of us ofc
-
Shows you how much better we are that we can field that as an approximately second string team... We could add: Morgan Maya Toby Bertrand JWP JayRod Pelle To that team on a good day. We also still have Ramirez and Boruc on our books technically. Plus players like Reed, Gallagher, Isgrove, Sims and Maqueen etc. Future is very very bright right now. Especially with £30m still in the kitty, not to mention the added TV monies. WTFILN
-
Wait, are their people who seriously think he has left After this summer I guess we need something else to worry about. Role on Adios Mane
-
Not to stop us all jizzing ourselves for good football (which it was) - but this current Newcastle side our one of the worse teams in the league at present. If you want to talk about samba football, go watch what Chelsea did to Swansea.... It was like us on steroids at times, and then some. We played well, but Newcastle were awful, and had pretty much given up up by the 4th goal. A bit like the Middlesbrough game in the championship when we score the first goal and Lambert was actually able top just stop for a few seconds with the ball on the edge of the penalty area... that was a 33 pass move as well or something if memory serves.
