  1. Wanted to have a b!tch about this but didn't really know where. Tosser utd fan at work today moaning to me about their entire defence having gone. F**k off mate. Seriously? Just get away from me. I have no sympathy whatsoever. Anyway, out my system now. As you were.
  2. I bloody love Mastodon. [video=youtube_share;mGTyXCb8lb4]http://youtu.be/mGTyXCb8lb4
  3. Got to be an improvement on Jos/Yoshi surely?
  4. If we are resigned to losing him, maybe us leaking it to bump Liverpool up a few £?
  5. 1) Pellè 2) Tadic 3) Tadic 4) Davis 5) JWP 6) Gastón With the caveat that this is based purely on the players currently at the club, although discounted Lovren & Morgan who do sadly look off. Gutted as I think Morgan is our best player. I may change my opinion closer to the start of the season with new incomings.
  6. As said before. They havn't really strengthened much as yet, whilst the teams above them have strengthened significantly. Utd who were behind have got in a couple of players, and arguably upgraded on their manager also. Though, you could possibly say this of Spurs also. Funny hearing Poch saying he wants to win things, wasn't too interested in that down here. It's alright criticising him for targeting Top 4, or criticising that mindset. But, surely that has to be their aim before a League challenge. I think the former will be a big enough challenge (not a slight on Poch - I just think there are 4/possibly 5 teams better than spurs), let alone the latter.
  7. It's mid-year review time at the office. I might see how asking for a 'modest' £10k p/w goes down.

  10. Mikey, keep spamming. That one wasn't my cup of tea, but whatever. Opinions. If it's not you, it's me. So better the both of us. Anyways, this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6qJk85Ey4Qs
  11. Appears there may have been a family that had members aboard both the missing Malaysian Airlines flight and yesterdays. Unbelievable. http://www.buzzfeed.com/richardhjames/malaysian-airlines-crash-australian-family-who-lo
  12. The point about not thinking about his career. It's pretty well known him and May fancy themselves as potential leaders should Cameron balls up the election next year. The Tories do not stand for defeat. This was a pretty big factor in the recent public falling out between the two.
  13. Hang on. You can't call Swansea weaker for Bony & Davies having not gone yet (looks likely at least one of those will be gone) yet it's ok to call Lovren & Morgan goners. Seems a tad inconsistent.
  14. I have been critical of teachers in the past. But given the almost totally unanimous distaste for Gove and what he was trying to achieve I figured there must be something in it. Having spoken to a number of teachers the pressure they are under is shocking, I simply cannot believe the conditions in which they work under. 70+ Hour weeks are the norm, goal posts are constantly being moved and they get crap whatever happens. Results go up, exams are to easy, results go down teachers aren't good enough. Discipline is gone, and if teachers try and tell kids off/or kids don't perform well parents will come in and blame it solely on them. I have spoken to female teachers that have been left in tears because fathers have come in and threatened them. I simply do not know how teachers do it. There definitely needs to be some changes in education, but Michael Gove was not doing the right things or going about it the right way. I've never known a cabinet minister be so universally disliked by a profession (yes, granted I'm younger than some on here so it may have happened previously that I haven't seen) that includes teachers that are Tories. That can't simply be dismissed as just the establishment resisting change. My understanding is that they want changes too, they agree the current systems aren't ideal. They take exception to being blamed for everything from every angle, when they do work their arses off and are in the profession because they care about what they do. Most are intelligent and capable enough to have jobs that would be less stressful and time consuming and probably pay them better too. They also get wound up at their suggestion for improvement being ignored or just not being consulted. Though, I may be guilty of generalising based on some limited research and a small sample group of teachers.
  15. It's those around him I pity. Could you imagine that 24/7?
  16. Some utter silliness on here. Yes, there may have been some areas Luke could improve on, that's probably applicable to 99% of players. He was immense last season. Can't recall a game where anyone had him beat over the course of a game. Christ i remember him out muscling Lukaku at SMS. Which lead to (as has been said) him being voted the best player in his position in the league by his fellow players. I trust their judgement over anyone on here. I've not seen enough of Targett to make any comment on his readiness. The club will have a better idea, they seem to know when to kids are ready - their track record of late has been pretty impressive. If not, I'm sure they are in the process of recruiting a replacement. Chances are the replacement will be a downgrade on Shaw, but I can't see Saints getting in a player better than the best in the league last season - that is the equivalent of Liverpool getting in a striker better than Suarez, again unlikely and they can offer more money and CL football (if only for a season). That doesn't suddenly mean we are going to be in free fall, a player not as good as Shaw can still be a very good player.
  17. Swansea are stronger for losing Michu, and most likely Bony?
  18. http://mashable.com/2014/07/17/malaysia-airlines-ukraine-russia-cossacks-leaked-audio/ Bit of context to the video, not sure how accurate it is.
  19. Teachers: Michael Gove: Wow.
  20. Burnley will finish above Saints? Ok then.
  21. Have you spoken to a teacher over here?
  22. Yup Oh FFS. What a prat. Forgot about Fulham. I dunno, that League is a total lottery. Maybe them instead of one the teams I said. Probably Forest.
  23. I thought you'd be happy. You wanted a new left-back anyway, Shaw wasn't good enough defensively apparently.
  24. If only we had, I dunno, like a month to sign a LB...
