What depressingly predictable responses. They're basically asking for it, right?! How a girl dresses means nothing, that still does not mean they are prime targets for anything. Yes, it is these attitudes that lead to it. Pull your head out the sand, and look up the Isla Vista cases. Read the blokes manifesto, or at least a summary of it. I guarantee you, these actions supported by responses such as 'go on lad' and oh 'she's a tart/slag, she's asking for it' are what lead men to believe that women owe them affection/love/adoration and ultimately sex. GB you clearly have no respect for women whatsoever.

That may well be a fair assessment. I did a pretty generic course (politics) without really knowing what I wanted to do. You're personal example isn't the greatest though, UCL is still a VERY good uni. It really is not at all far off being Oxbridge level. It's still extremely we'll known world-wide.

Effing hell. What a disgusting attitude. It's ok for boys to ask girls for sex and threesomes etc, if she tells anyone she's a tart? Women are people, they are not birds, or tarts and are not just there for men to leer at and try and f**k. I don't like this kind of behaviour, obviously not all guys do it, and yeah he's a young bloke so hopefully he will learn from it. But, every girl I know my age (25) or similar has had unsolicited messages from strangers pestering them for photos, sex etc. it isn't on. It's this attitude that leads to things like Marlon King attacking girls in clubs if they reject their advances, or worse still the Isla Vista shootings recently.

A thought on this, could it possibly be that part of this was having Lambert up top? Not slating the guy, he was obviously amazing for us. But, it's fair to say that pace and running in behind wasn't his game. Maybe with a faster striker, he could be a tad more effective there?

Maybe controversial, but could he possibly become a Steven Davis type player? Solid, tidy, hard-working whilst maybe a bit unspectacular? It's just a thought that's popped into my head whilst reading through this. I like the kid, think he's very neat and tidy, good technique, appears to have a great attitude and can whip a great free-kick. Did you see that goal he scored for England U-21s(?) the other week? Wow! I have every faith he's going to crack on to become a very good player, probably not absolutely top drawer but still very handy. I hope that progression is with Saints. I agree with the op that a bit of aggression wouldn't go a miss, but I'm not too concerned about that at this stage. As is rightly pointed out that is something Morgan added later and look at the player he has become. That is something that can be added to his game I think.

No one disagrees there's work to be done. It's the constant stream of pampers stained crap coming from you since the end of the season that gets tedious. How's the asset strip? How's the mackay/Hughton ilk manager? How's the falling through of the Koeman deal? How's that mass exodus? Still don't get the Alpine comparisons?

I just can't do it. It pains me not being there. It's been four years since I was last there, and I've hated missing it. Last year was the worst as, apart from the gf, ALL my mates were there. Knowing they were all there enjoying it was just too much. I know this is a slightly tw*t-ish comment, but knowing some of the people who were there, who were there purely for the sake of being at Glasto, knowing that a lot of it would be going over their heads and they would probably rather be at V seeing David Guetta also wound me up no end. Wasted tickets imo.

We don't often agree, so hat's off - top post. I can't much fault this. That said, I can't imagine the Chilean system doesn't require a lot of tactical drilling, however, I reckon considering the general quality of their side (the few obvious exceptions apart) maybe they are a bit more inclined to take on the system of their manager. Whereas, I struggle to see the arrogance of Sturridge, Rooney, Gerrard et al. buying into it in the same way, with the same vigour. I may well be miles off, but in terms of individuals Chile aren't amazing with a couple of exceptions, however they work together fantastically as a team, and have what appears to be a tactically astute manager who the players seem to buy into.

Don't know how you do it, I cannot bring myself to watch when I'm not there. Last year I was the only one out of all my mates that didn't get a ticket. Gf suggested watching the coverage of Arctics on the friday night. I told her, curtly, if she put it on, I'd smash her TV.
