It´s definitely not a bad option if we got him. Perhaps La Ligas best goalkeeper this season and a massive talent. Gazza is not even close in those terms. Belgian first choice in their national team. Would still prefer Boruc on a 2-year deal cause I´ve never liked to have players in on loan. Players should play for the club they belong.

Of course this is a game for us to win. As MP always says, that should always be our mindset. If they wanna try to outplay us passing, that will only benefit us I think. Their major threat for us to defend will be set pieces, really need to have our focus 100% defensively there.

I´m not too sure though. Our record in march was 2 win, 1 draw and 1 loss? Dont think that will cut it. We can hope though, I dont know what the criterias are for the jury. If it´s only results he wont win it, if there are other criterias the chance is there.

Yes but I think we were too consistent for this kind of award. If we had 5 games during a month we often had 10-12 points out of those. But there is often some other team have a good run for a month but they are not as consistent over the season so for that specific month they will have a run and get this kind of award but over a season we are far better off.

Yes true, but you still need a chairman that is ready to sell, and I think that´s not the case for us with Cortese unless offers are over the top.

Funny that in this thread the sentiment from one certain person is that we cant advance up the table cause other clubs are able to buy more than we are. But in other threads the complaints are that we haven´t advanced further even though we are the 6th highest spender.... A bit strange to me....

Rightly so, and should get even more praise than he gets for staying through the tough years. A real could-be legend at our club!

Isn´t it fair to think that our squad that is rather young will develop very much the next two-three years? And for example Everton is not up there year after year. They need to overhaul quite a bit in their squad next two years and I dont see that they can keep on to the likes of Fellaini, Baines so much longer. Especially the day when Moyes leave them I think they will go backwards. We are 14 points behind Liverpool, 17 behind Everton after having a start with 4 points from the first ten games. Of course it´s not easy but to aim for 8th-10th spot next year and then better the next year is not impossible IMO. But you need to have a bit of luck with some signings, not too many injuries etc but I am confident we will strengthen our sqaud in the summer.

I dont understand this pace issue... is Englands gameplan these days to counterattack their opponents? Or do they want to dominate the games, have a player that can retain the ball and keep it upfield while other players take runs of him...

Good versatile defender. Actually quite fast the first steps considering being a tall guy. Regular in Bordeaux, plays CB mostly but can also cover as RB and DM.
