Funny thing from the thread... People thinking seasons 84-85 was premier league... As some would say... FACT.

Yeah it´s terrible stats..... Yeeez, only 12-14 teams in the league would be happy with a season of 18 wins, 11 draws and 9 losses and get a 65 point season... Teams these days have no ambitions...

49% win ratio against 22%. Make you own choice. This is football, draw games happens but are still rewarded points. If we were talking basketball you would have an argument for it, now you dont. (If I had known you were THAT stupid I should have said "gaines more points", but I actually thought you were a bit clever....my mistake)

So you´re picking up the Turkish argument....good choice (???)......well you do know that this is football and that teams are awarded points also for draws? And that those stats said win 49%, draw 29% lose 22%. Equivavelent to 65 points in a season. How many teams in the league you think would be happy with that for a season?? I would say 12-14 teams... So if people are measuring by results....why is the word playing in the OP? Did not know that playing are the same as results in the english language....

So you dont think teams that creates more chances (having more shots) are usually performing better than teams that are not? And now we are talking of performance as in how the tem play, since that thread´s OP was about playing, not about gaining results. Silly me for not thinking that goals come from out of the blue and thinking that chances has to be created to be able to score goals.....

Strange, I always thought Readings russian boy wanted a "big" name. And I dont categorize Adkins in that way, even though successful. I think he wanted Di Canio but found out that their fans turned against that in a big way and therefor they have to look at other names now....

That last thing. That he stayed through the tough times can in my eyes potentially make him a club legend if he stays the full length of the new contract. Since I´m not a local town fan. Do you local people see more Schneiderlin shirts on fans at the games lately? Does fans acknowledge him in that way...?

This. Adam was back to his old himself saturday. I was questioning him on the games before saturday but he played his best game for quite a while saturday.

Yep, we were lucky yet again to have an opponent playing their worst game of the year... Oh well, there´s always next year for them....

I think also he had in mind the way Coutinho got through almost from the half line, that was also sloppy defending and happened only 4-5 minutes before their goal. And been watching the game for two more times during the weekend I would say that I´m almost as impressed of the second half as of the first half, but in different ways. We didn´t give them many opportunities in the second half other than a few shots outside the box (+Enrique´s one in extra time). They had more possession yes but we were compact and defended well and it´s the ability to hold games out when in lead that makes success and in that regard second half was very good too.

I think Boruc was in the same shape in november. He is not and never will be what you would say a "fit" guy. He´s got a big body and that serves him well. He needed time to get his legs going but that was probably there in november after two months of training. Equivalent to a preseason..... Adkins wanted too much that Gazza would be the answer when he realized KD isn´t at the same level in this league. Unfortunately that was a major mistake.

Just seen that tackle. If Mark Halsey isn´t sidelined the rest of the season it´s a disgrace. First task for a referee is always protect the players. If they fail so miserable they should not be out there. Wonder if it´s okay to vomit a bit over that non-call??
