They did. As well as the new statement of affairs (to be provided by Vantis on behalf of the club) they also have to submit copies of all documentation provided to the Premier League in January to the court by 4pm 17th Feb.

One petition was brought by HMRC, 10 other creditors added themselves to it, 9 of which have been paird. The second was brought by someone else, who hasn't been paid, and HMRC have added themselves to it. Settling with HMRC alone will not close either petition.

That's not true. The first mention of Vantis in the hearing was by PFC's QC who informed the court that Vantis had been appointed to carry out full analysis and report on PFCs financial situation. He also claimed that this would take 3 weeks. Vantis were not appointed by the judge.

They came very, very close yesterday. Had it not been for a late submission of a witness statement from Tanya Robbins and a (probably spurious) claim of 2 takeover bids, the registrar would have wound them up. Unless they can pay of large amounts of their debt to HMRC or prove without any doubt that they will be able to do so very quickly, they will be wound up at the next hearing.

I don't think they can now, no.

Pompey said "We don't owe any money and even if we did, we can pay" Everyone else laughed at them.

It's being prepared by Vantis. Hello, Agent Orange.

Thats exactly how it sounded. She was bound to consider the new evidence that was submitted (the statement from Tracy/Theresa/whatever her name is) plus allow Vantis (megalol at that!) time to put together a new statement of affiars and for Pompey to provide all documentation to the court that they provided to the PL in January. However, she has given them far less than they wanted (they are asking for about 6 weeks in total I think) because she knows they're insolvent.
-
She was quite condescending to the PFC barrister too.

Well that was fun! The court agreed that Pompey are and have been trading whilst insolvent. However, Pompey have claimed that they are in a position to pay some debt and submitted new evidence to the court 20 minutes before the hearing. They also claimed that the £7.4m in VAT that HMRC claim is owed is, in fact, not. They reckon that VAT should not have been charged on player transfers, but as HMRC pointed out, they have collected that money so they either need to pass it to HMRC or hand it pback to the clubs who paid it to them. Either way, they owe that cash and can't pay it but this appeal is ongoing. They seem to accept that they owe £4.7m in PAYE to HMRC. There was also a point where the PFC barrister claimed that the FA have provided significant sums to allow them to pay debts! Not sure what that was about. But enough of the boring stuff. Today I got to share a room with Marc Jacobs and Peter Ridsdale, as well as that Alex bloke from Channel4 news and various other journos. Happy days. I don't think I made it onto SSN though

I've checked the map already. Incidentally, I did head over when Rupes sued the Mail but didn't get chance to congratulate the great man on his victory

There are this Saturday, which is brilliant for those of us travelling down...

Should I nip round there later in my red and white scarf? http://www.hmcourts-service.gov.uk/cms/list_companies_winding.htm

Should I really watch this daft ********?

Haven't they sold this on already?
-
I'm not even going - I'm going to sell the tickets on gumtree.
-
Booking now, lovely stuff.
-
Stupid idea to stop memberships, tbf. Edit - although not as stupid as not ensuring the online booking system was robust enough to stop people buying tickets they weren't entitled to...

Brilliant signings if they come off. Higgy was Derby's Player of the Season last year and is really highly rated by their fans. Prutton is England U-21 skipper and a great prospect for the future. Expect us to at least double that fee when he plays for the full England side and we sell to someone like Spurs or Liverpool. Good work by WGS and Rupert.

Well worth quoting this again - absolutely spot on.

If you'd flown in from Vienna for that game, you'd be frustrated by the performance too.

He had the bottle to play depsite being really quite unwell and vomitting immediately prior to the game.

Turns out they actually weren't
