  1. I don't think I've ever high 5-ed anyone at an away game, but I might start at Walsall. Could be fun! I'd have to identify my "merry band" first though. Could you help? Could Aston Villa or Sunderland buy Tevez, or Robinho, or Adebayor? Cos they're the clubs that are currently 6th and 8th in the Prem, sandwiching Man City...
  2. Judged how?
  3. Saints spent money to bring the squad to a comparative standard to allow us to compete with the top 6-8 sides in League One. Highly debatable. Blatently untrue.
  4. Last time I looked the richest clubs in L1 were battling for the play-offs and the poorest were battling relegation. Give us our 10 points back and we're right in the play-off mix. It's a mixture of money and sport - not a list of all clubs sorted by bank balance.
  5. Mainly because you were talking b*ll*cks
  6. And they are indeed proving that it's all about the money. How many points clear are they at the top of the Prem?

Some people are even more simple.
  8. The way you think goals scored from penalties don't count is really quite funny!

And it took time for those things to be brought to bear but now they have, we're doing pretty bloody well!

    Last 11 games

You do remember how utterly ****e we were 2nd half of last season, right? And that we lost the best players from that side?
  11. TBF, what you see as "the party line" is simply most Saints fans enjoying our fantastic run of recent results and performances. If people don't want to join in with that, most of the rest of us feel ever so slightly sorry for them.
  12. Is The Bohemia still open at the top of Whiteladies Rd? Up past the Blackboy Inn, only on the left going up the hill?
  13. Have logged in now but the commentary is choppy for me too.
  14. I can't even log in
  15. Spot on.

    Leyton Orient

I went there a couple of years ago with Posh. Away fans are put towards the end of a stand along the side which was seated. Stewards didn't give a flip about standing though
  17. You want to block off one of the major routes to and from the ground for home fans? I'm not suggesting the coaches physically couldn't use those roads, of course they could. Do you need me to draw the route they'd have to take? Have a think about it. What do you reckon is easier for the police? To escort the coaches 50 yards up Brittannia Road and onto Northam Road or out through the industrial estate, up Marine Parade and the back onto Brittannia Road? All amongst the thousands of Saints fans leaving the ground. Of course I f-ing am, because it happens. It's part of why they have an escort in the first place. Do you honestly think they'd have no problem with drastically increasing the hassle they have to go through every home game? What planet are you on?
  18. Thousands of people use that route to get to and from the ground. So after negotiating the tight roads through the industrial estate, the coaches then loop back round, back past the ground? Why on earth would the Police agree to that? Other than that the police will clearly not allow it, you mean?
  19. It would be ideal for us within the ground but I just can't see the police agreeing to the extra hassle for them having to escort the away coaches from the ground that way. Extra hassle that the club may well have to pay for too, btw. And the police aren't cheap.
  20. If you've got the aerial picture up, take a look at the route the coaches would then have to take away from the ground. The police are never going to want to have to escort the away coaches through that industrial estate to get away from the stadium. And I don't blame them - there have been enough incidents when they just have to get them up Britannia Rd and away. And even when they're out of the estate, then where?
  21. What about the coaches?

    Wotton

How much did Wotton actually win on Saturday? I wasn't at SMS but the games I saw him play earlier in the season (Millwall, Huddersfield, Swindon) he wasn't mobile enough to get near the opposition to win it...
  23. 15th, no? Either way, given what happened in the summer I reckon that's a reasonable start to the season. I can only see us getting better from here.
  24. He was no great shakes for us, tbh.
  25. Apline? Contradictory? No way! :smt103
