So we want him to leave?

Scary stuff.

Sponsor Paul Wotton.

Morally it was 100% wrong to try to avoid it. Technically I still think the FL were wrong to deduct points. We got what we deserved, imo. Always thought he was very good on the ball (and I first saw him playing for the Arsenal Youth side against ours at Barnet) but his end product was somewhat lacking. Would be fantastic in L1 if his head was right - and IF we could afford him.

Call me dull if you like, but I'd rather we ensure that there is a Southampton Football Club to support for many years to come by living within our means rather than being beholden to the money and goodwill of one man for our survival. You need only look at Gretna (and possibly Pompey soon) for an example of how it can all go wrong.

But totally against the spirit of the agreement.
-
Yes, but Notts County have decided that they don't want to play by the rules or the spirit of the agreement. Makes them c*nts in my book.

I am happy to confirm that I will be on the 08:30 from London Euston.

Zing!

Given that I failed to make it to a pub before Huddersfield and only managed two pints in some dump in Swindon, I too nominate The Crown in Stockport for best away pub so far.

Exactly what happened on Saturday - too scared to push out and tried to defend the 18 yard line for the last 10 minutes or so.

Are you a forum "character", pretending to be a fool?

Good point. I can't believe that nobody who has come through our academy has ever gone on to play first team football. It's a wonder we bother with it at all and it must cost a packet to run. If only we could get some of the kids through and play them for our first team or sell them on to rich Prem clubs for massive profits then maybe our Academy would make sense. As it is though....

Plus our goal at Huddersfield was from a corner.

Crap players? You're a mental if your're questioning the pedigree of Williamson, Piquonne, Smith, Brown and Eugenne Bopp.
-
I think you might be onto something. I've just checked with my mate who works at the Argentine embassy in London and apparently they have just received an application for an Argentine passport in the name of Mr T Smith. Apparently he qualifies for one as his paternal grandfather was from Santa Fe. Can we expect to see Tommy Smith in the famous blue and white stripes in South Africa next year? It's looking likely!

No reason when Lallana can't do it if Pardew wants Lambert to play the traditional target man role, someone to hit and play with his back to goal.
-
I think he could too and at this moment in time I reckon it'd be his best position. Shame his shooting is so pathetic most of the time though. Going forward, I'd like the see someone with a bit of pace up with Lambert - as much as anything to stop the the oppo back 4 holding such a high line against us, compressing space and making it easier so them to hassle and harry us from the front (something that Huddersfield and Swindon both did very well). It would also give Lambert more space to work in when he drops deeper to get the ball to feet.

I thought that kind of thing only happened in boarding schools? Oh, you said ranking, my mistake.
-
What surprised me was that he joined Pompey at all knowing that he'll be lucky to get a spot on the bench, what with Riquelme, Kalinic, Messi and Piquoinne (lol) ahead of him.
-
Oh, and Corp - can you keep us updated on how Kalinic is doing for you? I haven't seen his name on any Pompey teamsheet this season so I presume he's injured at the moment, right? Edit: You might know this too. I saw some guy with the same surname name played for Blackburn this week. Are the two related? Cheers.
