  1. Sisto. Thought he looked lively against us and he's just put Utd to the sword. Sign the lad up!
  2. Apart from a fair few more quid I can't see any team in England being able to offer him much more than Spurs currently. Not happy with how he left us in the lurch and allegedly unsettled the players but he is clearly a talented coach. Imagine his next move - should he continue on his current trajectory - would be outside of England to a top European side.
  3. Gold and Sullivan make it very hard to like West Ham, both slimy little weasels, need to mind their own business! It's a shame as West Ham are decent club with some good fans!
  4. Interesting line up, good to see Fraser back in, gives me more confidence.
  5. Oh come now, you know I meant an equivalent, though Sharp was a class act it has to be said.
  6. Did the job we needed at the time, no more, no less. Think we could do with same again.
  7. Out of interest earlier I had a look and Bournemouth's net spend this season (excluding the agreed fee for Iturbe) is around 38 million while ours is the grand sum of 1. 1 Million. I'm not expecting us to throw money around and would love to see our vision of a sustainable club come true with academy gems filling the team but, for now, we are in need of short term investment to maintain our league status. That is exactly what the likes of Austin are. Short term buys to meet a clear need.
  8. Sean Dyche, Karl Robinson, Gary Rowett ... would like to see our next manager be English and committed long term. We aren't going to get instant success so need to give somebody time, trust and the right structure to keep pushing up forwards.
  9. What did Guly do wrong? Mayuka was a punt on potential that, fair, did not come off at all. Waigo was a loan, no harm no foul. Not saying the little Italian was perfect just don't think those are sticks to beat him with.
  10. We could infer there is some difference between their two positions - again we can only infer, but it would appear Koeman wants to see more investment in the first team and the board are reluctant. I can't help but feel we need to make a few moves to turn us around and try to keep us out of a proper relegation scrap. I don't think anybody expected us to be in the situation we currently find ourselves and the board may have to invest or risk taking a massive hit should the unthinkable happen.
  11. thank you
  12. Anybody know of a replay clip somewhere?
  13. Not the way he is going about his business this year.
  14. Moot point. Stupid tackle left him team mates in the sh*t.
  15. Like what exactly? Honestly?
  16. Wanayama caught in possession again, honestly starting to think I wouldn't mind losing him if we can find a replacement.
  17. If the price is right hcdaju. Can score, can create, could link between Pelle and midfield, knows the league, seems like a good character.
  18. To a point yes but January signings are a different ballgame as you acknowledge. Not sure how many first team ready players we could attract/afford in January but of course the scouting set-up probably have a few tricks up their sleeves. I maintain signing the likes of Gray - players we can develop into top class talent, isn't the worst way to go. Not sure what your Leicester rant is all about...
  19. Happy to admit he looked a bit raw and can understand your point but I just don't think we are shopping in the market of ready made top class. I did think there looks to be enough about him to become a top player and could see him making an impact in our squad as it stands - though not a starter by any means.
  20. Gray looks decent for Brum tonight, not exactly a cheap player but bags of direct running and potential, would love to see us sign him up!
  21. Not seen much of him but like what I do see. We all want the finished article but reality is we simply may not be able to afford it. He could develop into a top quality player without doubt, lots of big clubs have been circling.
  22. You make some good points. A few from these would be decent really.
  23. Basically a Lukaku-esque type player with direct running, some pace, decent finishing, strong physical presence and effective link-up play. If a player has all of that already and is available to us for a fair price I would eat my hat but it might be worth gambling on potential - especially if we consider this season a bit of non-starter - they could have 6 months pressure free to find their feet.
  24. Small margins in this one but just a shame we don't have many quality choices to change games ... fine no Rodriguez sure but hopefully we can clear Gaston off the books and have a re-think in the summer.
