Fair to say we disagree on a few things but I wont go overboard, hardly you making the decisions Its not a manager going im unhappy about but the hows and whys of it all. Adkins out at the end of the year, did not perform/cortese wanted to go another way ok. They could've had a bit of dignity about it. Honestly? Your opinion doesn't really bother me, that's yours to have. I disagree. I want to support a club worth supporting and I hoped that I did. To be frank yes, you are being a wind up merchant. Yes, people have different opinions, it's a forum. Choosing to express yourself the way you have today? I can't but feel you'r just doing it for some attention. I'd suggest if you were "just here for the ride" you'd fit in more up at Chelsea.

Your usual wind up merchant routine, class, as ever. Do you honestly believe that is all football is about? Who's name is on the deed? The club is not just any other business, it has a history, a tradition and has relied on the fans for a lot longer then it has on any owner..

Seconded. It is OUR club not Cortese's. But for those concerned Everton will be the LAST game I go to all season.

Without the fans there is NO club. The new guy might not get boo'd and the players certainly wont but the decision and NC will. Simply saying "that's football" is a total kop out.

Genuinely disgusted and ashamed. You know what I can't wait for the days of fan ownership, all the talk of champions league can do one, our club had pride for being different for being proper. I'd rather still be fighting it out in the championship under a fan owned model then be a plaything for a bunch of gloryseekers!

Well I don't think either deal is signed and done but I wouldn't be surprised to see one walk in and one out almost at the exact same time. No real surprise we're letting him go mind, unlucky perhaps but didn't really even prove himself in the championship. I rated him when we first signed him but needs to kick on and show he can do a job or join the moving on in the summer list

True it is a perfectly fair point though I cant speak for others but I would genuinely be so proud to see the likes or Rickie and AL pulling on an England shirt and I think it would mean so much to both of them, particularly RL at the peak of his career

For me Assou Ekotto is actually a cracking player but with me in that Danny Rose is far from convincing at the back. A real yard of pace though and may have the potential to be a flying full back but i'd genuinely be hesitant to predict how good he will be i'm sure shaw will be better

Fair play I can't see England building a side around Lambert like we have but I am more then sure he could do a job for England even if off the bench, I think it'd be foolish not to at least have a good look at him in a friendly. Besides i'm sure England could do with our fine tradition of penalty takers!

Fair point but I'm wary we could get into the usual "our transfer policy is terrible, sack the lot ..." nonsense territory this forum often descends to. I'd just like to suggest that us competing with liverpool (and apparently everton) for transfers is a sign of real progress and intent! I'd rather we had hassle and worry and came out with the likes of Ramirez, Yoshida and maybe Astori/Forren compared to Reading's "straight forward" capture of Akpan from Crawley, Kelly from Fulham and the likes of Guthrie in the summer ...

Anything but another Yates or Spoons! If it has to be a generic mix of bars, restuarants and housing could they at least try and find a few different companies?!?

The amazing football manager aside surely the fact that us, everton, fulham, liverpool and reading (a quarter of the league!) have all been credited with genuine interest would suggest he must be at least half decent? I'm sure we have a half decent scout between the five of us
