With Hoovield and Barnard starting I reckon we would have won this one. Forte was not good and wasted the best chance by not passing. SDR has proved himself an an impact sub but not a starter. For most of the game we were comfortable just couldn't score.

Having travelled to the game, I am bothered we lost. Overall we had enough possession and build up but not the finishing. Forte was not very good, he was in a couple of positions where a pass would have made an easy goal for a team mate. De Ridder had 90 minutes and only proved to me that he doesn't deserve a start he is better utilised as an impact off the bench player. Had we started with Hoovield and Barnard we would have won this game.

+ at least £5 for parking at SMS or Bursledon, I reckon this is why they haven't let us get on at our usual stop at Eastleigh. This is annoying as I live a 5 min walk from the Eastleigh pick up and get the bingo bus from there when not driving to away games.

I spoke to Dean Wilkins before the barnsley match (my son was the mascot) we both agreed that with more footballing teams in the championship Saints would do better as teams won't come to park the bus they will come to play football and this would suit us, and it's working a treat.
