Exactly. Happy to take the profit, less happy to meet your obligations.

Not surprised, the RN has been ****e ever since Horatio called it a day.

At the end of the day, if they go belly up there is a certain amount of justice to it. There was no way a small club like Portsmyth could achieve and sustain the 'success' they have enjoyed over the past few seasons; not in the normal course of events. Theirs is not a story about a rare sporting triumph that makes football so compulsive. Theirs is a story about greed, arrogance, and the murky world of international finance. That the PFC fans couldn't see what was going on, or simply didn't care as the flocked to not sell out their toilet of a ground time after time in the premiership perhaps underlines why they will be the highest league positioned club to go bust. Good riddance.

I wish they would just except the inevitable with good grace, and **** off. All this hanging on by their finger nails shows a lack of class.

Please not Eastleigh, Basingstoke or Met Police. It would just underline how far we've fallen. Any proper football club will do. (so not Bournemouth either)

Even taking into account the mighty MLT, there was more to cheer for Saints fans in the 80's, and generally more fun all round, than the 90's. I was obviously younger then so that might have an affect on my judgement.

I'm with you 110% Turkish. Like the bastards invented something by simply re-naming it, and history didn't exist beforehand.

Chaplow - signed a 2 and a half year deal - OFFICIAL

ROFL. Like the signing of the new manager, interview/job offer to Howe etc etc very professional. I always remember Chaplow as a wholehearted player, so hopefully thats still in him. -
Bournemouth chairman "not welcome" directors box (sigh)

And my friend, it took you jut 40 posts to blindly jump on someone who dared to criticise your hero. -

This. Is there a living person quicker to throw a tantrum and all the toys out of the pram. He's an embarrassment to himself and our club. -
Perhaps ML set out a structure for finances based on the league we're in. X million invested in players when in league one (maybe already spent), a further investment when in the championship to get into Premiership. I doubt the funding has gone, but it may have gone until we get promotion.

If true, i;m not sure why Cortese was there. More grist to the mill for those who think Cortese wants to pick the team. I'm sure it was perfectly innocent though.

I would have thought their local derby would be against Dorchester or Weymouth.

The last pope, John Paul II, was a goal keeper:rolleyes:

I wish. Although i'll make do with three points today.

I think you absolutely right SOG, particularly about maintaining good relationships with local and national press. Stop making dumb decisions like banning the local press from using the club crest, and the need for expensive PR firms will be lessened. Unless of course the PR company involved is advising NC on the PR consequences of his policies rather than simply issuing communiques.
