  1. A "Yes sir Mr Cortese sir" mentality?
  2. A new poster I see. Well after trawling through your PR piece I could argue with everyone of your points, but lets just pick one that illustrates how, at best, NC is naive, at worse arrogant and ignorant. The photographic press ban. We have a cherished ideal in the western world called press freedom. The press is allowed to report on anything at their free will. It's the corner stone of democracy. A sporting event is just another news event. And photography just another way of reporting. If NC had paused to reflect on this before jumping in he might have saved himself the embarrassment, because their was not a snowballs in hells chance the press would have gone along with this. Or, he could have had a look around and asked himself the question, why don't Man U insist newspapers buy their pictures from them? Or Real Madrid, or any football club in the world?. Why don't Wimbledon, Rugby, the NFL, the Olympics do this? The answers are firstly, the press have a right to report as mentioned, secondly, it's a mutually beneficial arrangement, ( the event gets publicity, the newspapers get sold so why rock the boat) and thirdly, it's never worth it, NC would have made the club a few hundred quid a game at the very most. So our CEO has alienated the press, made our club a figure of mockery and earns the business the sum total of zero. If he is getting the easy bits so wrong what else is he ****ing up? And one last thing for all those so keen to show their gratitude to NC for 'Saving us'. No club remotely the size of us has ever been wound up, if ML (god bless him) had not turned up with the money someone else would, so lets all get off our knees.
  3. http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/06092010/63/wharton-tight-lipped-adkins.html Conclusive, ish.
  4. A well written balanced piece. Sums the situation up.
  5. I was never his greatest fan from the word go. But I do think he would have promoted us this season, and thanks to Clotese, i don't think that is so likely now. It's amazing how fickle fans are. You couldn't say a word of critisism about AP before he was sacked without being shot down with abuse on this site, now he's gone it's open season on him.
  6. Clotese
  7. Which ever time is least convenient for local media, thus keeping up the NC's childish vendetta.
  8. There you have it. A sound and reasoned poster speaks.
  9. Would he have sacked AP three games into the new season, or taken on fleet street in a game any 'O' level media studies student could tell you you couldn't win? In Micky we should have trust
  10. That we'll never know. What we do know is no club even half our size has been wound up, so as grateful as i am for MLs input, I don't think had he not been involved we would have gone bust, so this saviour/hero worship thing for NC is misplaced.
  11. Right back at you big boy
  12. Another load of toss from another NC apologist
  13. Does everyone who thinks NC isn't God like have an agenda? And mores to the point what is the agenda??
  14. Oh do grow up. So because NC could earn more in banking than working here, he is a selfless saviour, who only has our best interests at heart? Why are we so blessed? And why bestow such generosity on our humble club? We should be truly grateful and never question a thing this messier has done for us. FFS. He is exactly what the original poster suggests, power crazy. Nothing in itself wrong with that, in fact you could argue it's imperative for a good CEO, but only one who can make the right choices. NC has lurched from poor decision to poor decision. The banning of press photographers I thought would be hard to beat, but our man stood up to the plate and showed stupidity knows know bounds. After having all summer to sack pardew and bring in a new man with time to do pre-season and spend wisely, he waits for the end of the transfer window to make the change after 3 games. What a plonker. But hey, the rumour is ML wanted AP sacked but it was NC who talked him out of it? I don't think so, why then carry out his wishes now, as a mark of respect?? Get real. Put this latest incident in perspective. NC is a man who thought he could make the club a few hundred quid a game extra by making newspapers buy from an approve SFC supplier. At no stage did he stop top consider that no other football club does this in the world, even Man U, Real Madrid etc who have a lot more muscle. Nor did he consider that no other sporting event in the world does this, the olympics, the NFL, Wimbledon you name it. He didn't stop to consider that although it's a sports event, it's also a news event and the corner stone of western democracy is freedom of speech. Thats the way the papers view it and thats why hell will freeze over before they buy pictures from an approved supplier. And non of this occurred to NC. That alone in my mind makes him a liability, a loose cannon, and someone who would arbitrarily fire a manger without due consideration for the consequences. But apparently it's their club, and they can do what they like? Thats a business not a football club. Yes i think he's power crazy, because he sure ain't taking good counsel.
  15. I think Southampton will be an increasingly difficult sell to prospective managers. Would you want a boss like Clotese? Although apparently 'the Special One' is on his way.
  16. FFS !!! why do we have to presume there was an 'incident' ??? The truth is NC sacked AP before engaging his brain, just like he banned press photographers before engaging his brain. Everything we've been hearing about NC from insiders suggests this latest show of petulance is par for the course. I wish people would stop trying to find excuses to cover up NCs ineptitude. The longer his behavior is excused the longer it will go on, and the more the good ship SFC will suffer.
  17. Take your pm's and shove them up your collective ITK arses
  18. You would have thought Cortese wouldn't sack a manager 3 games into a new season after a 4-0 away win, but he did. So talk of Cortese not letting this season drift are a bit rich.
  19. The more eccentric NC'c decision making becomes, the less irrelevant they will become.
  20. It's very easy to have a pop at SISA, I know I've been to some of there meetings and had to endure their rants. But they have in the past got out from behind their laptops and tried to do something, organise meetings, knock on doors etc; as opposed to 99% of posters on here who are content to sit back with beer in hand, and slag each other off from the comfort of their front room, (i include myself in that category)
  21. Cortesse. His brilliance knows no limits.
  22. Your right, if you merely interested in making a point. If, however, you really have no intention of returning, maybe because you don't recognise the club you used to support, it's an entirely appropriate measure.
  23. And to top it all, the only people that can sort this mess (NC) out are hundreds of miles away in Switzerland, and have probably got there minds on other things.
  24. I take your point entirely '76. But i think the blame should be placed at the door of NC rather than the players this time. I think they feel let down by this weeks events and who can blame them.
