  1. This thread needs you to fuck off.
  2. How do you manage to so quickly forget what you have posted ?...,.. " Any way. Germany is still not pre covid. Nor is italy. Nor is france."

    Russia

Ukrainian tank crews pretended to be Russians and contacted the Russian tank factories to complain about the quality and reliability of the upgraded T-72s, which they have been capturing and turning on their original operators.
  4. The House of Commons library disagrees........ https://commonslibrary.parliament.uk/research-briefings/sn02784/
  5. So the World #1 playing with the US PGA champion loses by a record score to a player who has yet to play in a major.
  6. Don't you find it funny that whenever the UK Government needs a positive financial story to spin the ONS or OBR manage to find a numerical revision to a previous report that provides it.
  7. Yet again you demonstrate your total lack of mathematical capability. Oh, btw, official UK Government documents show both the IMF and OECD predict that the UK economy will underperform for the rest of the 2023/24 financial year as compared to the Eurozone, and France specifically.
  8. Where did you get that from ? It looks like the total of road deaths, rather than those hit by cars travelling at or near 30mph. Last year, according to Government figures, there were a total of 376 pedestrians killed on the roads of the UK. Many of those would have been hit by cars going faster than 30 mph. On top of the pedestrian figures there were 12 fatalities of e-scooter riders, and 85 cyclists. https://www.rac.co.uk/drive/news/motoring-news/report-reveals-number-of-deaths-on-british-roads-increase-by-8-percent/
  9. Lancashire County Council came up with a plan to make the entire County 20mph, other than designated trunk routes. They justified this with the results of traffic surveys that showed on many roads the average speed of traffic was below 24 mph - the surveys were taken during the 'school run' times, when traffic is naturally heavier and slower. They were forced to withdraw the proposal. Instead they have placed 20mph zones around schools, which is fine. In general, targetted traffic calming is far better than a blanket limit.
  10. Plenty of cyclists do over 20 mph. Does a 20 mph limit mean cyclists have to have calibrated speedometers ?
  11. The way things are I would love the team to be an unremarkable middling Championship side, it would show an improvement.

  13. The Conservative and Unionist Party - the party of high taxation....... "The government is on course to oversee the biggest tax-raising Parliament since records began, according to the Institute for Fiscal Studies' analysis. The IFS forecasts taxes will amount to about 37% of national income by the next general election, due in 2024. That would be a level not seen since 1948, just after World War Two." https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-66945729
  14. I think that Act defines what happens once they have arrived, not how they might get here.
  15. It's a shame that news media obits are reporting him as "Harry Potter actor" or "best known for playing Dumbledore" when, as you say, his long and distinguished TV career includes The Singing Detective and his excellent portrayal of Maigret, amongst many others, on top of which he was a prominent member of the National Theatre. Perhaps, for a certain group of petrol heads, he will actually be best remembered as having a corner on the Top Gear track named after him.
  16. No, it is defined in UK Law; https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/illegal-migration-bill-factsheets/safe-and-legal-routes There is also this; https://lordslibrary.parliament.uk/refugees-and-asylum-seekers-uk-policy/#heading-2 Which includes "To claim asylum in the UK, a person must be physically in the UK. It is not possible to apply from outside the country, and there is no asylum visa. A person cannot obtain a visa with the explicit purpose of seeking asylum. Therefore, for individuals who do not have visa-free travel to the UK, they must enter either irregularly, such as by a small boat; by using false documents; or on a visa for some other purpose, such as tourism or study."
  17. But should these 'children of immigrants', now being British and therefore the beneficiaries of slavery, be contrite and willing to pay reparations, as Caribbean nations are stating ?
  18. Just finished them. It is quite revealing hearing the Civil Servants and SPADs being allowed to speak. A couple of points stood out; Dom Cummins plotting to oust Boris within days of their winning the GE, and Truss being so flustered during the fiasco of the fracking "is it / isn't it a Confidence Vote" that she forgot to vote herself. Overall they just seem to ba bunch of chancers, and no doubt Labour and the LDs are pretty much from the same mould.
  19. No wonder they are struggling 😉
  20. Oh for the days of Greenidge and Richards.

  22. Starred in many great TV shows and films, including The Man From UNCLE, The Great Escape, and most recently NCIS as the pathologist "Duckie", which led to the classic exchange between 2 characters; "What did Duckie look like when he was younger ?", "Ilya Kuryakin".
  23. Or send us all to sleep.
  24. I reckon too many concussions caused by Mr Fong's ambushes
  25. "Some of the errors we are repeatedly making would not be tolerated at schoolboy level. " I mean exactly what I wrote; if schoolboy players made these mistakes they would be told it was not acceptable - for top level pros it is unforgiveable.
