Whilst the UK manages to go into recession all on it's own.

So what else do you want "Those in power" to do ? I am sure your right wing social media feeds must be able to give you some useful hints.

"Thousands and thousands daily....." is an exaggeration. This years total so far is slightly over 22k. "Those in power do nothing....", so how come Border Force are intercepting the boats ? What else do you think can be done ?

Why would anybody find that 'embarrassing' or 'a disgrace' ?

Yes. And indeed, somebody who only ever walks is similarly paying for the upkeep of the highway, despite never using it. However, if you are somebody who uses the bicycle as the primary mode of transport in preference to a car you are undermining the local economy; you do not use petrol stations, garage services, pay car park charges, nor will you ever use those hand car washing sites employing Eastern Europeans to give your vehicle a wash and wax for 'only' £10, ( or whatever the local going rate is ).

Already 2 points accumulated in the "points lost from winning positions" table. #Saintsy

1) How many more Ukrainian civiians will have to die before it even registers in your brain cell ? 2) There has not been one iota of evidence that this is anything other than an internal Ruasian matter; possibly a power struggle between Putin's enabers and those who fancy taking over after he is deposed, or maybe somebody disillusioned by the SMO and hitting back at it's instigator.

Actually the RFD does not pay directly for anything, it goes into the Exchequer's pot along with all other general taxation. Some of it may then be allocated to national highways maintenance or construction of trunk routes, or given to Local Authorities for works on local roads, ( which may also take funds from Council Tax ).

Road Fund Duty is paid on the basis of emissions - unless the cyclist is a strict vegetarian on a high fibre diet we are zero emissions.

Evening Major !

Surely bikes would need to MOT'd to ensure they are road safe for insurance companies to accept the risk. ( That being said, we have a policy that covers the household, ( 3 adults ) ).

I wonder when he last had the car serviced.

I think they arrived at the event in the same car, so probably the intention was to hit both of them

Is wanting to maintain a standard of living a bad thing ? The major drivers of inflation at the moment are nothing to do with wages, and for some industries shareholder dividends are booming. People are seeing the wealthy grow even wealthier without lifting a finger, whilst at the same time being told that they have to accept a significant drop in their living standards ( because we have a moribund and clueless Government, that blames everybody else for it's problems and is incapable of generating solutions ). To take the case of the Barristers; their claim for increased fees, paid out of the Public purse, is directly at odds with Truss' proposed tax cuts, which won't solve anything and, as usual, would benefit the better off disproportionately.

When are Ukraine going to realise that they have lost ? It is now at least 3 weeks since somebody posted on here that the war was effectively over and the US was going to throw Zelensky under the bus.

JB is actually an extension into our plane of existence from a parallel universe. The crap he posts is reasonably accurate in his corner of the multiverse.

Either way, Che must stay.
