Do you honestly believe that the 4 Tories on the Committee, including a member of the ERG, would allow a Labour Chair, ( who happens to be a well respected King's Counsel ), to influence their participation and colour their opinion and vote ? Given that no action can be taken against Boris until the Committee report is voted on and accepted by the HoC, where the Tories have a 64 seat majority, why hasn't Boris bluffed it out and waited for that vote ?
