  2. And much, if not most, Government Policy implemented over the lifetime of a Parliament will not have been in the election manifesto.

    Russia

One of the official spokepeople for the South African President on his visit to Kyiv, tweeted that they had not heard any evidence of missile attacks or air raid warnings - despite sending the message whilst in an air raid shelter and having been filmed entering the shelter as the warning sounded.

  9. Among the usual "I'm too good to play in the Championship" guff you always get from players in relegated teams, Alcaraz is one of the few in Saints' squad for whom that is true. ( Others being JWP and Lavia ).

One of the physics teachers at Lancaster Grammar used to work at NASA. His coffee cup says "It's not rocket science.....Oh, actually it is".
  13. So in your mind MPs are unable/unfit to decide if they have been lied to.
  14. Why ? If you follow your logic then the Committee could not have been constituted as none of the non-Tory MPs could have been appointed, nor for that matter many of the Conservatives. You do understand the concept of leaving political bias at the Committee Room door and judging solely on the evidence ? Surely an experienced KC can be trusted to do this ?

    Coronavirus

In which case we come back round to the question ; If they knew that Covid wasn't as virulent as they were telling us, why did they say it, and what did they expect to gain by the lockdowns ? Surely they didn't want to intentionally tank the Global economy ?
  16. If it runs to form the column will include fabricated quotes and parts will have to be re-written by somebodty else to make them coherent.

Because they are self-centered twats who think rules are for everybody else, to the extent that even in the HoC truth is a vague and hazy entity.

Which, even if true, does not answer the question asked.

    Coronavirus

They did and they did. However, in a theoretical World, how would your 'logic' explain the thinking behind the lockdowns ?
  22. Is the title spelt correctly ?
  23. Exactly. The Committee was established at the request of the HoC, ( majority Conservative ), and was constituted with a majority of Conservative members. The Chair in these situations is always chosen from the official Opposition, and the members when sworn in commit to leaving party political bias at the door. How on Earth it can be determined to have been a "kangaroo court" is a mystery, and Rees-Mogg, who knows perfectly well how these things work, is just playing for the Tory media and feeding people's ignorance with bullshit.

  25. Johnson was the Prime Minister who ordered the Committee to be set up and accepted Harriet Harman to be appointed as Chair.
