The Chair in these situations is always chosen from the official Opposition, and the members when sworn in commit to leaving party political bias at the door. How on Earth it can be determined to have been a "kangaroo court" is a mystery, and Rees-Mogg, who knows perfectly well how these things work, is just playing for the Tory media and feeding people's ignorance with bullshit.
