  1. Blair and Brown had an agreement regarding when Blair would step aside for Brown to become leader- Blair didn't stick to it.
  2. He has also backtracked on his description of Sunak being a Socialist.

Some Russian reports saying his oxygen tank might have been filled with nitrogen.

  5. He came second in a 2 way race, having won convincingly with the MPs. Would he have still been second in a 3-way or 4-way run off ? Personally I doubt it.
  6. The Tory members have now had a leader imposed on them that they rejected 7 weeks ago. I expect the angry letters to be flying in to the Mail, Express, and Telegraph.

  8. But that is not specifically unique to Starmer, that situation applies to whoever wins in 2024, as, indeed, it will for Sunak once The King invites him to try to form a Government.
  9. Mega lolz........ Problem is we are all suffering for this shambolic shower of shite.
  10. So he couldn't reach 100 supporters, despite what he claims. Hopefully JRM is now consigned to the back benches until he loses his seat at the next GE.
  11. Alexei formed that opinion the moment we were first linked with signing Mara.

  15. Yes, but your WORK does not involve watching telly, theirs does. ( Unless you are a TV critic ).
  16. Remember, they get paid for watching telly - you don't.
  17. Looks like we have to pin our hopes on Chaz then.
  18. Why is it a massive problem for Starmer specifically ? It's a massive problem for everybody, but it is where we are and it cannot be reversed. The issue for any party seeking to form the next Government is to address the economic ills we are navigating, regardless of the root cause - bemoaning Brexit and angrily pointing fingers at Leave voters won't fix anything.
  19. Currently, as far as I can work out there are 3 Legal options to force a GE; 1) A Vote of Confidence in the Government - not going to happen as Tory turkeys won't vote for Christmas. 2) A 2/3rds majority of the H of C vote for it under Parliamentary rules - again turkeys and Christmas. 3) The King decides to dissolve Parliament in the national interest. Technically possible, but almost certain to bring down the Monarchy.
  20. Actually, I think that before Rishi took over in that situation, it would finally trigger a GE. Sooner or later even the Tory media will have had enough of this Totentanz Oozelum bird circus.
  21. Sunak wins with the MPs; Boris wins with the membership; Commons Standards & Privileges Committee finds him in contempt and suspends him triggering a by-election; Boris loses his seat. Rishi takes over.
  22. If you want to consider a 'broken' country, look to Somalia, Yemen, Afghanistan, etc. Things in the UK may be sub-optimal but they could be very much worse.
