The Prime Ministers of Poland, Slovenia, and the Czech Republic are going to go to Kyiv to meet President Zelensky. Unluckily, as it is an EU visit, Boris can't be invited.

The manager picks the team, sets up the tactical formation, assigns marking responsibilities, and theoretically motivates. He also stands on the sidelines watching the game and has the ability to shout fresh instructions and apply tactical tweaks. Yes the players cocked up royally for the 2 goals, but don't try to deny that over the last 3 games Ralph has made his full share of fuck ups. After all, when a team plays badly who ultimately gets the push - the players or the manager ? He, if nothing else, has a responsibility to himself.

Going into the cup game on the back of 3 defeats, 2 at home, and the last one against Watford. We are really going to be full of confidence.

Comes from the manager. Didn't turn up for Villa, poor against the Toon, and I am not sure they had any idea as to how they were told to play today.

Didn't take a lot of out-fighting, we gifted it to them.

From the BBC "Southampton, seemingly blinded by Ralph Hasenhuttl’s soccer science, were playing with no clue of how to construct their attacks. "

I just pray that this is one those games where at full time people are looking back at the first half comments and laughing at the negativity.

Reports and analysis suggest that the Belarus army is not going to get involved in the 'Special Military Operation', that several senior military officers have resigned or left the country, and that many hundreds of Belarussian troops have actually defected to the Ukrainian army. One source I read is quoted as saying that in the unlikely event of Lukashenko trying to order his army into action the biggest threat to the lives of his field commanders would be their own soldiers.

We are not a bad team, they are, home win.

From the BBC..... "Criticism of the Russian invasion of Ukraine has appeared on Russian TV, marking an unusual departure for the tightly controlled Russian media. “Evenings with Vladimir Soloviev,” a popular pro-Kremlin talk-show on the Russia-1 channel, strayed from Moscow's official line during a conversation with guests this week. Semyon Bagdasarov, an academic appearing on the show, asked whether "we need to get into another Afghanistan, but even worse", the Moscow Times reported. “There are more people and they’re more advanced in their weapon handling," he said. Karen Shakhnazarov, a filmmaker appearing alongside Bagdasarov also questioned the Kremlin’s decision. “I have a hard time imagining taking cities such as Kyiv. I can’t imagine how that would look,” Shakhnazarov said. The comments are unusual as the programme's host Soloviev has been a loyal ally of President Vladimir Putin and the show has so-far supported what Russia has called a "special military operation" in Ukraine."

Members of the Free Syrian Army have said they want to go to fight against the Russians - could end up with a proxy Syrian civil war. One of the children at my grandson's school is Georgian, and says that she wants to go to kill Russians. She is 7.
