We may have failed to win games having held a lead at some point during them, and indeed be the worst for this trait, but no team has ever lost points in a game of football. The worst case scenario is that you lose the game, so end up with the same number of points you started with. If, for instance, Liverpool take a 1-0 lead against Spurs, Spurs then go on to take a 2-1 lead, before Liverpool score a last minute equaliser to end the game 2-2. I agree that we maybe should have gone for a more proven replacement than AA, but seling an injury prone player who didn't want to play for us wasn't in itself a bad idea. It's not as if Ings is ripping Villa's opponents a new one.

Talking of losing Ings' goals, by this stage in terms of PL matches played last season, Ings had scored 6, AA and Broja between them have 5 so far this term. Overall, last term we had scored 9 more goals by the 15th match, with Vesty, Romeu, Walcott, and Djenepo all contributing.

The rule says that all the registered keepers must be injured, certified by an independant practitioner, or unavailable due to international call up. Assuming Lewis is registerd he needs to contract CoViD pretty quick.

Get him a positive CoViD test.

Emergency loans only apply if the club has lost ALL of it's first team keepers, I assume Lewis is registered as a first team player. Free Agents can be signed if (a) we have a 'free' registration slot in our 25 man roster and, (b) they left their previous club before the last window closed. I based my statement on Arsenal taking a positive approach to the game, where we will be without Macca/Forster, Salisu, and Romeu. We won't get a chance to take the lead as they storm into an early 2 goal advantage. EDIT: If I were Trouseres I would add #reversepsychology, however I think it is more #realism
