  1. For whom ?
  2. And where would we replace the 43% of our trade that we do with them ? Simplistic, narrow minded, single line quips won't fix Brexit if it all goes tits up.
  3. We look like we didn't have enough of a pre-season.
  4. No, but Facts4EU are hardly going to produce opinion pieces that vary from their WTO Brexit agenda.
  5. Where is the spare wheel ?
  6. Any chance of a link to an unbiased souce ?
  7. The conclusion of that artice "It is hard to see how this can avoid embroiling the Supreme Court in another round of Brexit litigation. It is a fight that, perhaps, the Government actually wants."
  8. Both sides hold biased views on Brexit.
  9. Most of the stuff that will end up being revoked will almost certainly need alternative "UK focussed" replacement legislation, it can't simply be red lined out of the Statute Book. How many years will it take to unravel 40 plus years of progressively tighter integration ?
  10. How much of that EU legislation would we have introduced anyway ? Health and Safety regs, Data Protection, Human Rights, etc. Most of the EU stuff will stay, some of the rest will be modified. Only a small proportion will be revoked.
  11. It's not as if we didn't have any input into the formulation of EU laws, rules, and regulations. Some people seem to think we are escaping from a dictatorship that denied the UK any say in it's own affairs.
  12. No, it's a warning to get out of their way as they are psycopaths.

  14. The 11 populated British Overseas Territories still depend on the UK for their International trade agreements. The Empire ended when Hong Kong was handed back at the end of the lease on it.
  15. Getting an FTA with anybody should not be hard, getting one that delivers all that Brexit is claimed to will be very difficult, especially if the other side view us as untrustworthy.
  16. In saying this you have to accept that in negotiating on our own, with far less trade on offer than when in the bloc, there is the risk that we get worse terms than tha bloc might. It's going to be a couple of years at least before we get a clearer idea of which way Brexit is sending us, better or worse.
  17. Don't try to use facts on here.
  18. Yet another GM red herring. LOL
  19. This coming from Lord "Pony".
  20. Blah blah blah "sclerotic EU", blah bah blah "FTA is fine by me", blah blah blah "plundering our fisheries", blah blah blah "get out now and the whole thing will fall apart in 6 months", blah blah blah "cluless Barnier", blah blah blah "Independence Day".
  21. Well, there is certainly scope; Ministers would be granted unilateral powers to override the WA and their decisions are “not to be regarded as unlawful on the grounds of any incompatibility or inconsistency with relevant international or domestic law”. ( Section 45 (2) (a) ) Go figure.

    Coronavirus

From Monday we will not be allowed to congregate in groups of more than 6, unless you get around this restriction in a " specific and limited way". Edit: I see that Wancock has been asked to attend the Commons to apologise for settng policy without announcing it there first.
  23. Ironic isn't it on a thread titled 'Site Issues'.
  24. Or Maggie T's "We have become a grandmother".
