It's a doddle, this Brexit lark; https://www.theguardian.com/world/2018/oct/26/russia-brexit-liam-fox-wto-plan-uk " Russia is among 20 countries that are looking to squeeze a commercial advantage from Brexit after blocking an attempt by the international trade secretary, Liam Fox, to fast-track a World Trade Organization deal on the UK’s terms of trade with the world. Whitehall is now facing “up to two dozen” different negotiations with countries over how much meat and dairy produce will be permitted into the British market and what tariffs the UK will set on imports." ".....in terms of the bilateral free trade deals that we hope to get with Australia, New Zealand and the US, these could be delayed while we haggle over the numbers. It’s a complicated discussion and it could easily take a couple of years to sort out and that means it would be three or four years before we could implement bilaterals, so it is likely to introduce delays.”

No it isn't. Long is supposed to be a Premier League, and International, striker. The only measure that applies is his goal scoring record.

But less than we spent on Carillo.

He was not selected because he is ill.

Never going to have a chance of a win unless we can find a way to score.

We are a team completely lacking in confidence, and Gabbi plays like Shane Long but without the pace.

Trump or the bombing suspect ?

Super Brett Ormegod every time.

I don't think the situation can be 'sorted out'. We'll stagger past D-Day whilst retaining most of the EU functions we are supposed to be ditching, then spend the next 3 years grasping at straws and cobbling together a 'bespoke' arrangement that satisfies nobody and leaves the UK suffering under the weight of the self-interests of those we are 'negotiating' with.

I suppose this chap thinks DT is doing OK; "A man accused of groping a woman on an aircraft has told US police that President Donald Trump had said it was OK to grab women." https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-45958023

Dyson don't build anything in the UK, which means the company has nothing to lose under Brexit as it doesn't have a supply chain to get disrupted.

Membership of Schengen rules it out for the UK. The issue with the Swiss comparison is the lack of awareness of the people touting it as a viable solution.
-
I have no idea. I read the quote about the Swiss arrangements being an easy Brexit solution in the Daily Fail letters this morning, ( I did have to disinfect my hands afterwards ), and was fairly certain that the writer was wrong in his/her assumptions, so I checked online.
-
Switzerland is in the EFTA, and is party to the Schengen agreement on free movement, so this is unlikely to be an acceptable model for Brexit.

Why not pick on someone over the age of 14 next time ?

How are the people of Gibraltar getting on with the potential of a 'hard' border with Spain?
-
Was the solution not in the Leave manifesto ? Surely BoJo, JRM, or even Nige had everything worked out when they promised the electorate the Moon on a Stick. Would it not be part of 'We get back control of our borders" ?

Back in March, yes, but now it seems that Trump has had another PR fuelled policy volte-face. ( Mind you. I suspect that many ambassadorial staffs are padded out with 'disposable' people to absorb, and minimise the true impact of, any expulsions ).
