  1. Just posted on the BBC ; "Planned changes to disability benefits outlined in Budget will be "kicked into long grass", government source says"
  2. The In/Out debate summed up in 2 words.
  3. Anne Widdicombe described by one side as a 'heavyweight' and the other as a 'pygmy'. Things are getting personal.
  4. From a Chancellor who has missed just about every target he's set himself ? Regardless of the 'headline' items, the detailed numbers will inevitably hit those less able to cope, whilst his rich mates just keep get richer.
  5. Makes me wonder how Napoleon got as far as Moscow.
  6. Greece, Spain, and Portugal are all former right wing dictatorships that joined after 1980.
  7. Somebody should point him in the direction of Specsavers.
  8. Never a red card, should have been a penalty, 3 points fully deserved. Hopefully we can appeal the sending off. Scousers up next.
  9. No way was that a red card
  10. cue the anti yoshi jibes.
  11. BBC text says clear pen.
  12. For clarity, Iceland, Norway, and Switzerland, ( plus Liechtenstein ), are WITHIN the Schengen zone, as shown here : http://www.schengenvisainfo.com/schengen-visa-countries-list/ This is through the introduction of the treaty of Amsterdam, which affects EEA/EFTA members as well as EU states ; "....Notes that there is a direct effect in areas such as the Common Foreign and Security Policy. visa, asylum and immigration policy and the removal of border controls (Schengen)." http://www.efta.int/sites/default/files/documents/advisory-bodies/parliamentary-committee/jpc-resolutions/May-1998AmsterdamTreaty.pdf
  13. MWB free version is good at checking file systems and cleaning up issues, but does not provide 'real time' protection. I use BitDefender ( subscription ) on all three PCs in our house, and also do periodic scans with MWB for peace of mind.
  14. In my experiece MSE is quite often slower than other 'mainstream' AV services when providing updates to counter new threats, and not as effective overall. It was originally designed as a mechanism to protect the kernel of the operating system, but not user programs and data.
  15. "Boris Johnson says an email telling his senior staff to back him over the EU referendum has been withdrawn." http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-eu-referendum-35749084
  16. FIFA are the world governing body, nothing to do with Europe. Cons + UKIP got less than 50% of the votes cast, and 32.7% of the total electorate. Besides which, the Tory vote on this issue is split, your assumption is that it is not. What sort of choice is that ?
  17. Does that 'sustained period' exclude Jan13th-Feb13th ?
  18. If somebody had told me at the start of the season that at the beginning of March we would be 19 points behind Leicester, I would have thought that indicated we would already be re-building for next season in the Championship.
  19. After the previous 2 games I decided to go for a walk rather than risk watching a repeat if the drivel served up against Bompey. Based on the comments here and on the match thread, I was indeed better off getting rained on in a chilly easterly wind !
  20. "Income per head in EFTA countries is, on average, 56 per cent higher than in the EU" Possibly due to Norway's oil and Switzerland's tax haven status.
