Donnie's alternative budget is rejected by 235 votes to 174 in the House of Representatives as 38 Republicans join the Democrats in voting against it.
-
38 Republicans in the House of Representatives voted against the Trump/Musk alternative budget, so it failed disastrously.

He know there is no VAR.

Whether you agree or not, the issue is that Cameron and Osborne brought the effective date set out in the original Act forward by 2 years, which is where the contention lies. Regardless, it just shows that Labour are as big a bunch of lying schysters as the Tories. ( But then again, should people really be surprised ? ) -

"The Government stole their pensions…we've said we'd right that injustice and within the five years of the Labour government we'll compensate them for the money that they've lost." Angela Raynor talking about WASPI in 2019. …............. In 2022 Keir Starmer signed a petition calling for "fair and fast compensation". ............ Rachel Reeves with WASPI campaigners in 2020 ......... As The Christians sang : "...and like fools we believed every word that they said.". -
Just started Silo S2, which will hopefully maintain the standard of S1, and also watching Dune Prophecy - which I am just about keeping track of. As an aside, in a strange piece of historical prescience, during Opearation Neptune, the overarching naval operation of which Overlord was a major part, HMS Enterprise was under the overall command of Admiral Kirk.

I don't necessarily want a manager who does "great" things, I want one who does things competently; who knows how to organise a defence, doesn't drop players for hoofing the ball when required, and takes the captaincy off Stephens.

Kate Humble on "Animal Park Christmas Special" talking about 4 young Amur tiger cubs: "They represent 10% of the worldwide population of 450".

Anybody over 5 feet 8 inches tall certainly does.

This has to be the easiest game Forster has ever played at SMS.

Spurs will bring on a few of their younger players from the bench to give some of the starters a rest before their cup match later in the week. Mind you, they will still extend their lead whilst hardly breaking sweat.

Brave is being a front line medic in a war zone, or a fire fighter in a burning multi-storey building. Football millionaires are not "brave".

Other than calling for the managers head, what else can those left inside SMS do ?

All the fault of the fans.

Good ! Just STFU and go. Hopefully Trump will build his wall, and make such a good job of it it blocks transit both ways.

Jeremy Bowen on R4 made an interesting point; it is in Israel's interests to have a stable, non-hostile Syrian Government installed, that has good internal security and can effectively police it's borders - the IDF has severely degraded any potential such capability.

The Beeb don't have TV or radio coverage of the New Zealand tests, so their reporting on them is not a priority. Worse is their reporting on cycling, if they can't fit a British angle into an event, it hasn't happened.

I get plenty from Nic, just don't feel the need to boast about them as it might be seen as taking advantage of the poor chap.
