Chamakh should have jumped over King Artur and slotted the ball into the empty net, instead he was on the way down before contact was made with the keeper - in all probability there were only 2 people in the ground ( or watching the stream ) who knew it wasn't a pen at first sight, one was the striker and the other was the ref.

Mrs B has spent today making chutney from the figs and plums in our garden, and it looks like there will be a useful crop from the grape vine that has grown up and over the apple tree. ( That latter crop really shows what sort of summer we have had up here ).

Can't argue for the money, Sora / Carbon fork / etc, however I bet that within 18 months this will be your 'second' bike.

3 points, clean sheet, Dani O & SRL score, a goal from open play - good day at the office. -
There you go - Dani O IS rubbish and we will NEVER score from open play.

Nor do any of the MMCC proponents. There seems to be a particular hook that the nay-sayers are getting stuck on; that the argument is a straight, black or white, "Is Climate Change man made ?", which point can then easily be rebutted by the 'climate has always changed' retort. -

But what is their conclusion ? GOHC calculations with and without corrections derived from the TG and CH methods. Also included are calculations from L09: (http://journals.ametsoc.org/na101/home/literatum/publisher/ams/journals/content/atot/2013/15200426-30.6/jtech-d-12-00127.1/20130613/images/large/jtech-d-12-00127.1-f19.jpeg) -

And there lies the problem - if the sceptics are right they all point their fingers and sing "Lah, lah, lah, we told you so", if the 'tree huggers' are proved to be right, your grandchildren are screwed. -

But that is not what the IPCC reports says - it says the rate of increase over the last 15 years is less than predicted. "Each of the last three decades has been successively warmer at the Earth’s surface than any preceding decade since 1850" "...the rate of warming over the past 15 years (1998–2012; 0.05 [–0.05 to +0.15] °C per decade), which begins with a strong El Niño, is smaller than the rate calculated since 1951..." "The globally averaged combined land and ocean surface temperature data as calculated by a linear trend, show a warming of 0.85 [0.65 to 1.06] °C, over the period 1880–2012, when multiple independently produced datasets exist." -

The year 2000 computer meltdown didn't happen because thousands of people like me, around the world, spent months upgrading and patching systems before the deadline date. Even so, some things did go wrong. It was real, it was managed - MMCC is real, but there is still time to manage the situation. -
Unless we have somebody else lined up to replace him this would be very foolish. Building the attack around Osvaldo is fine, but the other attackers ( J-Rod, Gaston, Lallana, etc ) need to contribute their share of goals, and who would step in if Dani were suspended / injured ?

Marquez's overtaking is sometimes bordering on the insane.

Presumably Spartan is a Skate 'in peace' but when he posts about the return match :- "See you in March probably a few beers in the Mount on the Friday Night or the Bourne Arms in Knott End" he can f()ck right off - I couldn't tolerate a skate in the Bourne, it's only a mile, and upwind, from my house.
-
Perfect pair of results - Saints win at the Premier leaders and my 'local' team beat the skates.

Even Gaston ?

Looks like a good idea from up here !

A fine group of CC deniers you have there. http://www.desmogblog.com/2013/09/17/international-climate-science-coalition-s-lacks-credibility "The self-proclaimed experts at the International Climate Science Coalition have today launched another fanciful flight into the realm of climate denialism and United Nations conspiracy theories." -

Follow the trail from Georgie boy's links. The Daily Fail has "The continuing furore caused by The Mail on Sunday’s revelations – which will now be amplified by the return of the Arctic ice sheet – has forced the UN’s climate change body to hold a crisis meeting. http://nsidc.org/arcticseaicenews/ "This is not surprising, as climate models consistently project that there will be large variations in summer ice extent from year to year. A cool summer can help to retain a thin layer of ice, increasing the overall ice extent. Conversely, a warm summer can help to remove much of the thin ice cover." http://www.skepticalscience.com/neverending-daily-mail-nonsense.html " Just what 'crisis meeting' is being referred to here? Well, the IPCC's website sets out the timetable and procedure for reviewing the forthcoming Fifth Assessment Report (AR5): Step 1: First Review (by Experts) Step 2: Second Review (by Governments and Experts) Step 3: Government Review of Final Draft SPM Step 4: Approval/Acceptance of SPMs and Working Group Reports Under step 4, the sub-timetable is as follows: For each Working Group report, the full reports will be accepted at the Working Group Session and their SPMs approved by IPCC member governments at the Working Group Session and then accepted at a Session of the Panel. These will take place as follows: WG I 23-26 September 2013, Stockholm, Sweden WG II 25-29 March 2014, Yokohama, Japan WG III 7-11 April 2014, Berlin, Germany The dates for these meetings were set in 2009, as can be seen via the timetable, dated Novermber 3rd of that year, here (PDF). So there's your 'crisis meeting'. Working Group One's session, scheduled four years ago, for acceptance of its report." -
When they are parked, the cars are left spaced around the car park, but once the humans are all safely inside they move together and huddle for mutual security like penguins in Antarctica.

Whilst we may not be able to 'control' it, we can adjust our behaviour now to mitigate the future impact. The problem with the deniers and those following short-term selfish interests is that they want to simply carry on as we are and 'damn the torpedoes'. -

I remember Don from the wargames club I used to attend in the 70's - and borrowed all of his books from Central library or the branch on Burgess Rd.
