Re the penalty appeal - have any replays shown how close he was to being offside ? -

Cork pops up at the far post. 3-0. -
Presumably being Pompey, that's a 'borrowed' charity collection bucket ?

According to this link, there was a CAP that vectored onto the Argie planes but Broadsword & Coventry warned them off to avoid getting radar lock on the harriers. And Influenza is a virus from water birds, no wonder it makes you feel fowl. ( Badgerx16, BSc(Hons) Microbiology )

Based on reports from the US, that is an assumption that that probably does not stand up to scrutiny. "Nurses at the Dallas hospital say they worked for days without adequate protective clothing and received little guidance on how to prevent the spread of the virus." http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-29628622

TBF, in Heywood&Middleton Labour's share of the vote went up, marginally, in a low turn out, ( possibly less than 30% ). It was the Tories ( down from 27% to 12% ) and the LDs ( down from 23% to 5% ) that seem to have enabled the swing to UKIP ( up 36% ).

Horrendous as it was, this was a freak of circumstance. If the tractor had been 2 metres to the right Bianchi would have hit it head on rather than go under the engine, if it had been 2 metres to the left he'd have missed it. If his trajectory had been 2 degrees either side of the one he took, again he would have missed the tractor. As for the safety car issue, Sutil crashed on lap 42, afaik Bianchi came off on the lap after, so would the safety car actually have caught him before that corner ?

Mark Hughes's phantom goal for the Saints Aug 1999
badgerx16 replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
Some of the other goals in that article are unbelievable - especially Paddy Connoly's. -
Wasn't that just his standard practice of fielding weakened sides in cup competitions ?

20% slopes on cobbles - you are ;-) Pray it stays dry.

Portsmyth - noun : a statement, often in relation to football history or payment of creditors, that is plainly false, but due to a genetic abnormality is taken as true by the inhabitants of an obscure area of swampland in southern England.

I don't use a cadence sensor or power meter, and very rarely use an HRM - I go on how I feel. If you're reasonably competent at counting seconds you should be able to judge your cadence without the technology, but don't obsess about it - the most important thing is that you are on the bike, gradual improvements will bring their own reward. You've probably got 9 gears on your cassette, so that's 9 from the big ring - plenty enough to be going on with.
-
May I refer you to The Rules : http://www.velominati.com/the-rules/ Rule #90 Never Get Out of the Big Ring. If it gets steeper, just push harder on the pedals. When pressed on the matter, the Apostle Johan Museeuw simply replied, “Yes, why would you slow down?” It is, of course, acceptable to momentarily shift into the inner ring when scaling the 20% ramps of the Kapelmuur. You can also adopt the Gospel according to Saint Jens - "Shut up legs !"

I'm hoping for a Lancy miracle against Middx now.

5 wins in a row. Obviously a team in crisis.

Depends on your current gear ratios, but you will almost certainly have a more efficient riding position, a higher top gear, lighter and more responsive frame, much less rolling resistance from the tyres, and there is less effort required to overcome the inertia of lighter wheels. Once you go the whole hog and get clipped-in pedals that will add at least another 10% on top.
