So an incoming striker would have thought 'This looks encouraging, I get to play alongside Lambert and Lallana', a defender thinks 'I could learn a lot from Lovren', only to find that once they have signed, their new playing partners have been sold. Or do you think that the interview would have gone along the lines of 'We are buying you to replace ....', which presumably is what is being said anyway.
