Don't you realise, unless we've won 5-0 you aren't allowed to open a 'positive' post-match thread ?
-
Have you seen the league table ? Who are the teams that Reading and Wet Sham have failed to beat ?
-
We are 4 points and 9 goals better off than Wet Sham, so 'one round' of matches won't change things. And as for the 'downward spiral', before Blackpool we had 8 wins and 2 draws from 10 games.
-
Jeez - 11 men in red and white shirts spent 98 minutes kicking a leather ball around a patch of grass, playing against another 11 in blue shirts. THAT'S ALL. It was a game of football, - no earthquakes, no floods, no plagues of locusts, yet some people seem to think it's the end of the world. Come the end of the season, whether promoted or not, life will continue. And then, in August it all starts again. How many of the wrist slitters will be back on here on match day 1, whichever division we are in, waiting for the first chance to write off the next 9 months ?

The next few days will show how good Nige is at his job. Keep the Faith.
-
Good - Billy Sharp 4 goals in 3 games Bad - Rickie isn't fit , couldn't thrash the DCFSBs Positive - we are top of the league Being honest - it was always going to be rough, especially after losing Spiderman so early, their 2nd was a fluke 'wonder strike' Opportunity to seal the season - Reading on Friday the 13th
-
We are still top - if we match Reading for the last 5 games we will be fine.
-
4 not 6.

"Fair play to Roy Hogdson for lending them players " ? WTF, they are CHEATS !!!!!
-
Who is the more biased - the ref or the commentator ?
-
Just been told to stop singing along with WTFILN and 'Pompey's going down with no money in the bank'

This is also my understanding from reading the Completion Statement by UHY. The first installment was due on April 1st, and TB stated last week that it wouldn't be made - I think Baker Tilly also stated that letters were going out to the creditors owed money under the CVA to explain the situation.

This weekend last season : Blackpool were 17th in the Premiership, Saints were 3rd in League 1. Both teams have many of the same players in their squads, and BFC have the advantage of the parachute payments, plus were playing in their own sandpit, ( sorry, pitch ). Even after Saturday we are still top of the Championship, and still don't have to rely on anybody else to achieve promotion. Roll on the massacre of the DCFSBs COYR.
-
For information, it's hardly rained at all for the last fortnight up here, ( and they even continued the watering at half time ). Most of the BFC fans continually joke about playing in a sandpit, and they do of course play on it for half their games, whereas each opposition team only gets one chance. Don't think for a minute that the pitch had anything to do with the result, we were poor, they were just a bit better - and the officials were shocking.
-
No we're not, but today Guly, Butterfield, and Fox were absolute pants, and BS missed a penalty. It was bad day at the office, and the Skates will suffer the backlash.
-
In addition, what a superb showing by the travelling fans considering it was live on the beeb. Hats off to them all.
-
Just got back from the game, how's the wrist slitting going ? You should all think yourselves lucky, my office is full of BFC supporters - work will be hell on Monday morning. Still there is still the consolation that We Are Southampton, we're top of the league

Just for balance, given it's disastrous for Labour, but the Islamic Republic of Bradistan also performed a 37% swing away from the Tories ( according to the BBC ), and the LDs lost their deposit. -
In reply to PFC : 1) Who owns our ground ? 2) How much are HMRC chasing US for through the courts ? ( Again ! ) 3) Who owns the car parking around SMS ? 4) How much do we owe on our CVA ? ( Sorry, how much have we refused to pay off our CVA ? ) 5) How many charities have we ripped off ? 6) How many training grounds have we been kicked off ? 7) How much is 'owed' to previous owners ?

What's the FL penalty for entering a 2nd season whilst still in admin ? Without a buyer, could they limp on until September ?
-
They haven't yet failed to make a payment, it's due on April 1st. I cannot find any back door escape clause in the Completion Statement, so let's wait to see what Baker Tilley have to say on the 2nd of April. ( The Completion Statement should be available via UHY's website, but mysteriously at the moment it seems to be unavailable - it can be found on Google QuickView - https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&q=cache:-slxd4lcVKgJ:www.uhy-uk.com/assets/media/download/portsmouth%2520reports/Completion%2520report.pdf+portsmouth+CVA+schedule&hl=en&pid=bl&srcid=ADGEESjbAZ-xLp4PmTcbbOFjDWq359YLxXl4HIz-7DM06B3VqAaxaezYuWg4tS2z5SWlbJhMLaUBG4culdp8CGCJvsO11QzdK8Q84Aqn3zyh8CY7NhW9DSi4UjGrb2ZKisk2dd1PZgob&sig=AHIEtbQOnx02gxLnGZsw1OYrtj7iiPJlLg )

"Sorry Pompey fans - no sympathy".

Take out Bell's & Jawa's scores and they are 2 well matched, but poor, teams.
