And by utilising the fine art of selective quoting : "Confidence is still low, with many concerned about lack of demand and wider economic issues,....." ".....but it's going to be a long road ahead, with some economists warning of a triple-dip recession...." The shoots may be green, but the economic frost is still nipping at them.

In terms of other teams' run-ins, they all have at least 17 more games to play, so will have to face everybody Saints do. For instance Villa have to go to Everton and Arsenal in Feb, host Citeh in March, are away at ManUtd in April, and finish away @ Norwich, home to Chelsea, and away @ Wigan. Reading are away @ Everton, ManUtd, and Arsenal all in March Also, as the others in the bottom 6/7 have to play each other, they are taking points off each other. I don't think anybody is able to predict how things will pan out, nor how many points will keep a team up, we should just concentrate on each game as it comes - we'll drop stupid points in games we should win, and will pick up 'bonus' points from games we shouldn't. Enjoy the ride.

Chap on 6-0-6 said that Plymouth Argyle had the best travelling fans, with up to 1000 making some of the longest treks in the league. Surely he's mistaken - poopey's massive 60 or 70 must be the evidence that they are better.
-
Not to cheer too loudly when pompey go under / go down - show some control and dignity at the time of their continued fall from grace. ( Alternatively, to raise the bloody roof off when pompey go under / go down - schadenfreude is fun ).
-
Tend to only go to 'home' games, so have seen Saints at Blackpool, Bolton ( Reebok ), Blackburn, Morecambe, Everton, Preston, Man Utd, Huddersfield, plus went to watch Swansea ( @ The Vetch ) when at Uni.

To throw some meaningless stats into the debate, points from the last 10 games : Fulham 6 Newcastle 6 Wigan 7 Villa 9 Saints 13 Reading 7 QPR 7 I think 36 points will be good enough to survive, but we might be running out of finger nails.
-
3 from QPR, Reading Villa, Fulham, Wigan to go down. Saints to be mathematically safe before kick-off on the last day, though I'll settle for 17th by 1 goal GD at the final whistle of the season.
-
No, we played QPR away.

Good point and a good overall performance from a game many thought would be a drubbing - we got our tactics right and took the game to them on their own turf. Stoke may be limited, but they are bloody effective, and they don't often concede 3 - plus they should have had a penalty, possibly 2, and Fonte would have been off with his 2nd yellow.

Woooooooot!!!!!

But we are not giving the awards for being 'serious sports people', we are giving them, I assume, for being inspirational and setting an example of how dedication and commitment generate their own rewards. For some of the paralympians, simply competing is in itself a triumph over adversity, any medal is simply a bonus.
-
Why ? They were doing their ( generally publicly funded ) 'jobs' and got their reward with the gold medals and publicity. Why not reward the silver medal winners, they are still the 2nd best in the World, and may have missed out by a fraction to a phenominally talented opponent, or is 2nd a failure ?

15 points ( including the extra questions ), and proud of it. Q1) How do you know you are middle aged if you don't know how long you are going to live ? Q2) When does 'middle age' end and 'old fogey' begin ?

Didn't they just inherit that from Judaism as Islam is based on Abrahamic Law ?

The admin, legally, can normally only run for 12 months, ( in this case to early February 2013 ), but they can apply to the courts to extend the process. The FL rules are quite clear, you cannot start a 2nd season in the same administration.
-
They cannot start next season in admin - or at least not in the SAME admin. This is a FL rule.

A question regarding the finale of Homeland : If your car was packed with enough explosive to do that damage, do you think you would notice it was a teensy bit heavier than usual ?
-
And they were not singing 'Galway Bay' in the video - it was the Mickey Mouse theme. Edit : since when did SWF start using skimwords ?

He tried to kick it away in frustration and sliced it, as he said after the game - if he'd tried to to it deliberately he would have missed.

Crap. That is all.

Sorry to disappoint you, but I can't claim the original thought. Fancy trying your peurile sarcasm on Millwall ? http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/47466-More-Wet-Sham-Jokes http://www.millwall.vitalfootball.co.uk/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=66180 -

Daily Fail have us linked with Paul Robinson. ( Mind you they also link him to Wet Sham, Fulham, and the baggies ) -
Not sure if it's been posted but apparently Paul Robinson is expected to be leaving Blackburn - and as usual Saints are linked.
