  2. Provide the statistical evidence to back up your supposition, together with the analysis that demonstrates the correlation between 'young' eastern Europeans and UK youth unemployment. There must be a YouTube video or link from the UKIP website.
  3. Just look at the mess we had to go through to cobble together the Falklands Task Force. Overall the UK Government ( of any hue ) has been far more effective than the Kreigsmarine ever managed !
  4. Well, the neanderthal's were here before 'modern' man migrated north ( @ 30,000 BC ), maybe his roots go back that far ?
  5. The truth of the matter is that nobody is running apprenticeships or taking on trainees, unemployment across the board is rising, part-time posts are being slashed left right and centre, and the economy is going down the pan. Immigration has very little to do with any of this, so get off your soapbox.
  6. The Celts originate from Austria and the Angles from Germany/Denmark
  7. True, so whilst you are thick, everybody else on here is not !
  8. You are not supposed to GOOGLE the answers !

  10. 15, I await the Immigration Service's deportation Police.

  12. Is this not a contradiction ?
  13. Dunce, if this had happened to John Reid, would you be claiming there was 'nothing to see, please move along' ? This guy was present on more than 35% of Fox's overseas trips, including dinners with high ranking Pentagon officers. If he wasn't gaining from them as part of his 'defence related business interests', why was he there ? Fox has to go, and if necessary Dave has to show he's 'got a pair'.
  14. OO should handle *.DOCX files, which are basically zipped XML documents, unless Micro$haft have been playing with the format in OFFICE10 to render an 'open' standard 'closed'.
  15. Yes. Compatible with all Micro$oft file types - I use it on LINUX & WIn7 at home, and also at work which for everybody else is an MS OFFICE lockout.

  17. Well, the Home Secretary seems to write her conference speeches on the basis of sensationalist, and completely b0ll0x, Daily Mail headlines. And I seem to remember "It's the Sun wot won it" after the 1992 election.
  18. Given the proportion of the 'great unwashed' who are willing to have their opinions delivered to them in the media, and that media's bias, it is hardly surprising. Unfortunately image is everything, and DC has better PR and lacks a speech impediment.
  19. Jobs was like Bill Gates, good at the commercial exploitation of other peoples ideas, and zealously litigating at the merest hint of a patent infringement. His particular gift was in creating apparently new niche markets and positioning his products as the life changing 'must have' that would make you wonder how on Earth we ever managed without them. All the overblown hype that surrounds the launch of the latest 'i'Gadget has never ended up curing cancer, ending famine, or solving the issues in the Middle East.
  20. RIP. ( is there any truth in the rumour that just before he passed away they put up a blue screen around his bed ? )

In theory you are correct, in that I never actually turned it on.

    You and your dad ?
  23. Most of what happens in Westminster and Strasbourg/Brussels bears only a passing resemblance to democracy. The last General election returned a Government that was not on the polling cards, and the subsequent policy portfolio is a compromise between 2 manifestos that in parts were complete opposites. Almost all Government activity subsequent to being placed in office is effectively unaccountable - we elect them to make decisions on our behalf, ( bailing out the banks, invading Afghanistan, 'protecting the civilians' in Libya ), and very little of what they do has ever previously made it into electoral manifestos.
  24. I think the constitutional position is that the Sovereign, after being advised by the Privy Council, selects who will be requested to attempt to form a Government. Generally this will be the leader of a party with an overall majority, but as we had at the last election, there can be a delay after the plebiscite until it becomes clear who might be in a position to attempt to form a majority coalition. It is entirely possible that a minority Government might be requested. MPs do not make this decision.
