  1. Al Fahim : "We have mandated Falcon to negotiate on our behalf and initiate the due diligence process For the time being all details are and shall remain confidential. The investor group bundled in "Al Fahim Asia Associates" which I lead and represent has the necessary funds to support and build a strong Portsmouth FC." Al Faraj : ...... is part of one of the wealthiest families in Saudi Arabia, intends to make funds available in the transfer window, although his immediate concern will be paying off a variety of creditors amid looming deadlines for loans. Until the cheques have actually been cashed, I shall continue to hope that HMRC wins out

  19. If they are wound up because they are insolvent, can't HMRC claim the directors are personally liable and recover the monies from them ? ( Seems Andy just beat me to it )
  20. You may find these links of use: http://www.companyrescue.co.uk/company-rescue/guides/trading_whilst_insolvent_guide.aspx http://www.companyrescue.co.uk/company-rescue%5Cguides%5Cdirectors.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trading_while_insolvent_%28UK%29
  21. Interestingly, it says players transferred will only be permitted to play in the EPL, so presumably only EPL teams will be buying ? This could get more incestuous and self-interested than any poopey family re-union.
  22. I asked this last night, and will ask it again; if they are found to have been trading insolvently, surely all the talk of 'takeovers' and people offering to sub them is irrelevant ? It doesn't alter the facts presented in the SofA, they might as well claim they are budgeting to win the next EuroMillions roll-over,- it cannot detract from any illegality that may have taken place for the previous 9 months (+).
  23. Surely any 'takeover' is irrelevant if the SofA proves HMRC's claim ? If they are trading insolvently, the directors have broken the law, and the whole lot folds. The potential vendor would have to wait to pick up the pieces.
