  1. No, but predictably the politicos are already relapsing into self-interest & power-grabbing.
  2. You're the wrong gender - ( allegedly )
  3. Used to be the HeadMaster's study when I was at KES.
  4. Clegg actually said that the party with the biggest mandate in terms of %vote and #seats SHOULD have the right to try to form a Government. He was very careful with what he didn't say, despite how some tory rags misquoted him. And, unfortunately for DC, the constitution is in Gordy's favour, and there is nothing he can do about it.
  5. As the pound has dropped against the dollar this morning, does that mean poopey's debt has gone up again due to the fluctuation ?
  6. But on current projections, neither of these arrangements would have a working majority ; Lib/Lab @ 317, Con/Unionists @ 316. Maybe Caroline Lucas could hold out for a cabinet post
  7. An election of leaders failing; Labour - 'nuff said Tories - despite everything DC fails to get an overall majority, and has 1 seat in the whole of Scotland LibDems - less seats than they started with Scots Nats - no gains DUP - Robinson loses his seat The only real success is the Greens, winning their first seat.
  8. belt ( buckle )
  9. Nurse, NURSE.....come quick. Aliens have removed Stanley's brain!!!
  10. Looking at your posts from the last hour or so I have to ask, have you been at the cooking sherry again ?
  11. Get back to building sand barriers to stem the flow of the oil slick.
  12. Columbine
  13. In which case could you not start with Chris Evans, follow that with Anne Robinson, then possibly Prince Harry, ( mind you, his dad might come after you in his tank ).
  14. Dune, could we have that translated into English ?
  15. If I was close enough to him to spit, I'd be too busy fighting the gagging reflex to raise the spittle.
  16. Most teachers are, also nurses, doctors, policemen, and firemen. Oh, and social workers, home helps, physiotherapists, dentists, the armed forces, etc, etc, etc
  17. Up north's not that bad at all, you just have to meet the right woman  Plus, you're much further from the Smoke, much nearer to the Lake District, the cost of living is much easier to cope with, the people are friendlier, the fish & chips is far superior. If you want to go, there are more EPL teams than any other region, including London, and you are far less likely to bump into a member of the Blue Phew, ( though not totally 'clean' ).
  18. George Osborne ???
  19. As a result of Maggie, the chances of another female party leader are very slight for the forseeable future. ( Not prejudice, the view of my wife - who happens to have a politics degree ).
  20. If there is a 'full investigation' of the old company, and financial irregularities are uncovered, does that mean the new company gets a points deduction, a la Luton Town ?
  21. OUT ! ( Anybody remember Andrew Hilditch ? )
  22. From UHY's report to creditors : "Whilst it is accepted that liquidation may not necessarily result in the Club ceasing to play football at Fratton Park, it will force the Club to play at a much lower level league." "In the event that the Club is forced to fail under a liquidation scenario, the Players registrations will revert to FAPL or the FL and there will be no realisable value for the benefit of the creditors in this matter." Presumable, even a voluntary liquidation will leave the 'phoenix' company with no ground, no players, and well down the pyramid.
  23. Tactically for the candidate most likely to beat the CONservative.
