  1. I was merely repeating what I have read & heard in the media this morning, as a counterpoint to one sentence in the OP. I would think if personal tax avoidance and shifting your company's tax base offshore were an essential qualification for running the economy, there may well be many on that list of 30 who would qualify. You might as well have countered with "What do economists know about running the economy?".
  2. What skills does GO have ?
  3. As for the letter from the 'top 30 business leaders', as some economists have been quoted in the media this morning; they might know how to run a business, but what do they know about running an economy ?
  4. And that is the crux of the problem - we are still trying to play 'Billy Big B0ll0x' with no justification. We are not a major world player, and should wake up to the fact and accept it.

  12. As pointed out previously on another thread, he still got a higher percentage of Labour MPs voting for him than DC got of the Tory members in his party leadership poll, in fact he got 122 votes from the 262 MPs & MEPs. And I am not sure the ONLY reason he got in was the union vote, as they only represent 33% of the possible total. Before you go off on one of your evening rants, try appraising yourself of the facts, ( for a change ).

  19. A most predictable thread and opening post from the most predictable poster on the forum, and some equally predictable responses, especially from DC luvvies. I thought he did quite well for his first time up, and so did most of the media outlets I've heard reports from. And why does the fact he might have a slight speech impediment preclude him from high office or a bit of respect ?

  25. Try an on-line PSU calculator, ( via GOOGLE ). Allow about 15% over the top for power surges, such as at system power up, and also a small amount for the fact that as components age they tend to draw a bit more power. If you look at a PSU's specification, remember that the total power output is split into several different levels, ( sometimes referred to as 'rails' ), for different parts of your system - pay particular attention to the +12V figures, as that is where most of the key components will draw their power.
