Fair enough, Sky named Winchester in the report for some reason
-
Interview with JWP cut out half way through. Didn't realise that Hawkeye were based in Winchester! That and when Mick McCarthy was debating signing Rihanna and Beyonce as 'something nice to look at'. Perhaps JWP was about to say something sexist.

Just drag and drop one of your defenders for a midfielder/striker in 'Pick your Team'. You can play any formation you like so long as there's at least three defenders, two midfielders and one striker.

Saints near the bottom for players signed, any cause to panic?
DuncanRG replied to Mr X's topic in The Saints
Absolutely spot on. This is why some felt uncomfortable with the interest in Wanyama I think, but it's sad to see that since he's signed people suddenly believe Cork was lacking in some way. -
Caught some of this - what a great idea and useful bit of exposure for the smaller clubs in the football league. Will be interested to see who Sky talk to at St Marys. I think Doncaster have made the most of it so far...

With Baines to come in for Ivanovic after the first week, and Soldado likely to replace Lukaku or Benteke if he signs.

No need to panic whatsoever. We know we're trying to sign a striker. -
I doubt it. Levy's not going to start playing fast and loose with the books when his hardball tactics have just earned him an extra £20-40m on Bale.

Football broadcasting is worth so much now I suppose the BBC might not be able to offer competitive wages for the star pundits. However, their frontline team is far, far better than ITV's current crop and I bet they pay less. Their on-the-ground reporters are still as good as Sky's and Pat Nevin's one of the best in the business. As pundits go I think Sky's Monday nights will be irresistable with Neville and Carragher both on the programme.

Thanks Steve, and good luck. Good to see the club treating some of these guys with respect as well.

Congratulations to the lad. What a phenomenal opportunity it would be to start the first game of the season. Look forward to seeing him if he does.

I've never watched football. Is it good?

Honestly - Cortese knows the book better than any of us and would only make that kind of investment if it were financially sound. For starters the transfer fee would not be offered in full up front, I can't imagine.

Jelavic had a wretched season. There were quite a few strikers who came in during that January window and scored for fun before fizzling out - Cisse, Jelavic, Pogrebnyak - but none ended up as bad as him.

Arsenal doing the double and City winning the Champions League aren't far off either, in terms of ludicrous predictions...
-
...oh dear. Nothing's out of mine yet but I'll take a look later.

Something is happening at the ground... Possibly.

FourFourTwo Season Predictions - (Premier League - League Two)
DuncanRG replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Interesting they think Bradford are gonna make the playoffs in their first season. They do have a bit of money behind them now to be fair. -
What a waste of bandwidth

The coverage has been absolutely fantastic, props to the media team. Best moments have got to be the ten second celebration and the goat interrupting the jog, haha

Fantasy Premier Leagues are open for registration

Nah, prices only change during the season as people buy and sell players. -
Though I do agree it didn't turn him into a world class manager overnight. Can't wait to see how he does in his next job though, and who it's with.
-
I'm not sure that would increase the standard or pay better wages...
-
That's one of the silliest things I've ever read on here. Chelsea's Champions League victory was a coaching masterclass.

The Qatar world cup is a total farce, we all know that. I'd have been far more aggrieved about England's bid failing if it were to Qatar.
