Celtic are a "Big Club" what defines a big club? is it the amount of supporters they attract every week? is it the league they play in? or the trophies in their cabinet? I would like to give my answers to the Celtic question. They play in possibly the easiest league in the whole of Europe with only 1 or 2 other teams capable of beating them once a year, they are supported by a huge crowd every week, this is due to the fans having no other half decent teams to support & it is always better to say that you support the biggest team in the league. their trophy cabinet is probably full to bursting with SPL trophies, Scottish cups & the odd euro cup, the reason they have all these trophies is again because they have no threat from other teams. If Celtic played in the prem then I would suggest that they would be perrenial strugglers most probably a yoyo team along the lines of West ham etc. The whole argument of them being bigger than saints is based on history and attendance etc. well history is just that "in the past" saints are on the rise & teams all around europe will say that little old Southampton are not allowed to eat at the top table in the EPL, well things change & soon I hope teams & "pundits" will soon start to realise that we are for real & are on our way to success. So to conclude no I do not believe Celtic are a big club.

I can't really see where all the anti Gaston stuff is coming from. I work with a lot of Arsenal & Manure fans & pretty much all of them have said that gaston is an awesome player who will only get better the longer he plays in England. He needs to be played in the correct position, I:E Attacking midfielder. Do some of our fans look at him and think about his price tag before his skills? if he cost us £1.000.000 would we think more of him?

Competition for places is a good thing, so he either ups his game or sits on the bench. it will be good to have players who are better in many posistions as this will improve the team through out, meaning we could possibly move on to the "next stage".

Would like to see him playing alongside Loic Remy, I think that would be an awesome pairing

Some people really need to remember why we support Saints! Is it because they play in stipes? Is it because they are the greatest football team ever? Or is there another reason? I support them because they are the greatest football team ever & even if they turned up for a game wearing pants & vest from the lost property box I would still support them. A kit is just a way of differenciating between 2 teams playing a game. Ask yourself why you started supporting Saints & I bet no-one will say "it's because they play in stripes" If people only support Saints because of the stripes then go and support Stoke.

I have been supporting Saints since 76, most of our greatest feats have been when we were wearing yellow FA cup win 76 runners up 03 etc. I was never worried about what colour we wear and not that bothered about stripes except for the Channon era Admiral strip. As I see it all the club is doing is trying to raise its global appeal as with the majority of clubs in the top tier of all european leagues. If this means changing the strip to an all red one then so be it. I don't particularly like the new home strip, but not because it doesn't have stripes, but because it is a stock kit and not an individual bespoke kit. However saying that as long as the Chairman continues his push for European glory then I am sure we will soon start having better kits to choose from, if these kits are striped then all well and good, but if they are are not then that also is fine by me, as long as the club is successful then I for one will be very happy.

Adidas think that much of us that they gave Us a replica of Bristols kit. Surely we could go else where and get a better kit. One which will go with our future plans.

Is it just me that finds the idea of a premier league team playing in an Adidas stock kit whilst all the other Adidas equipped teams in the PL seem to have their own type of kit hard to believe? That kit looks like something we would train in and not a match kit which would be in effect an advert for Adidas.
