If he played that team last night for some game time because we want to concentrate on other avenues then that's fine. But if that team played because, for some reasons we think we are good enough to play a second string team against Premier league oppososition, then I fear we may be heading for a serious wake up call. Having said that it was good to see some of the young guys getting a run out.

As much as it pains people SRL was only picked for England due to the severe lack of any other strikers. Don't get me wrong he has been great for us but, you can't deny that we played better with out him in the team, this may be the way forward allowing more midfield minded players to come in to the team and bringing SRL on as a impact sub.

Football at the highest levels e:g CL, Prem lge etc stopped being a sport years ago. Now it is a sport based business, getting the best employees from around the world regardless of nationality & with no regard for the national teams of the countries they are based in. Teams like Moan U will always stear more towards what's good for business than what's good for their fans. So if these teams feel this way about their own fans then they will not give a moments thought to lower league teams. They really don't even care about teams in the Prem lge. All these teams care about is how much money they can make and from where. If a new European super cup competition was created guaranteeing the teams untold wealth then the CL would see teams like us & norwhich competing in it as the "bigger teams" would have all buggered off to chase the money.

for what its worth I think the VW experiment is not working, Morgan has not been 1/2 the player he was last season when paired with Cork.Maybe it is time to try those two again. Why Gaston is not playing is beyond me? he & JWP will be far better than Lallana & J-Rod. bring in Davies drop SRL to the bench then we may have a chance of beating players,getting quality crosses into the area and possibly scoring some goals.

With the sudden death of Saints fan. Sir David Frost i was wondering who our most famous fan is, Tiff Needel being one of them.

I am sorry but we are severely lacking in a few areas.1. Width, playing through the middle is fine when you have the likes of messers Messi, Ronaldo et al. We don't have players of that ability we need to spread the play wide, Punch was ok at this but is not to the standard if we want to push on to top 6. So a quality winger is needed ASAP before the decent ones go. 2. Pace. Our team has no real pace anywhere using SRL up front just makes the lack of pace even more evident. 3. Set pieces. At the moment it appears that SRL is our go to free kick taker this needs to change as he is not up to it JWP has got bucket loads of ability and should be taking all free kicks at least he won't keep kicking it straight into the wall. 4. SRL. Is he becoming to predictable for teams? Can he & Ossie play together? I believe with him in the team means one of our more creative players has to step aside. I believe we should play as follows. --------BORUC ------ Shaw--- Fonte--Lovren---Clyne -----Big Vic---Spider Lallana--JWP---Gaston ------ Ossie----- Playing like this will still leave us without much width but at least we will have more chance of getting past players & scoring goals. We should be beating teams like Sunderland & Norwich & if we are to stand a chance of getting a high as possible finish then some more additions are a must
