Yep, got to be Rickie Lambert, we wouldn't be a PL club without him.

Personally I'm very happy with Pelle. First 10 games or so of the season he was deadly; now teams have worked out that he needs to be at least double marked and that referees will always penalise him. He occupies two defenders on his own, and is still able to pull off things like the chest down for the first goal against Newcastle, and I think because of him our other players have much more freedom and space up top which is why we're seeing more goals coming from our wider attacking players. Yes, he could take some of his chances better, but what strikers couldn't? He's had more shots than anyone else in the league - and after the frustration of watching us play possession football last season with barely any shots, I'm not complaining.

I think the reason we're going with this kit is because when we played them at home, with both teams in their home kit, it was 3pm in September. This time it's 5.30pm in winter, in the north of England, so it'll be dark, probably overcast/raining/snowing, with the match being played under floodlights, so the white stripes will stand out a lot more than the red/black ones. Also possibly something to do with Newcastle losing 4-0 last time, and have complained about the kits and blamed those?

Depends if Newcastle are as poor as they were last time, wouldn't be much more of a challenge than Fulham U21s! In all seriousness, if he's on the bench then he should be match fit. No point having him in the squad otherwise.
