Is it bad that I'm sort of happy Gazza's not going to have a clean sheet?
-
I think our priority has to be getting to half time without conceding. If we can do that, they have no hope.
-
Too early to say I was wrong?
-
SADIOOOO! Seriously, who doesn't like Shane Long?! Made that second goal!
-
Basically the same move there, no goal this time. Good to see us getting behind a defence for a change though!
-
Pelle goal wrongly called offside, now appears to have hurt himself. Great.
-
Think we're screwed. Hope I'm wrong.
-
Starting XI looks strong. Bench is a bit worrying.
-
Collar, badge placement, panels down the sides, weird little triangles where the stripes get cut off. As I said, close enough, no surprises.
-
Not quite the same as leaked, but not far off. It's... okay. Not as nice as this season's.
-
Precisely. I think we should be prepared to stump up a decent sum for him. If Lovren's worth £20m, what's Toby worth??
-
Hopefully we'll get a part 2 tomorrow!

Rodriguez has returned - BREAKING: NEW CONTRACT SIGNED

Confirmed by the club's official Twitter by way of a stupid cryptic Vine. -
Fair play! I'm generally quite the obsessive lurker, but dissertation + exams + job interview prep + hospital appointments mean my time here has been reduced a bit. Apologies for my vitriol. He looks like a decent 'keeper at the very least, certainly better than our #2-4. £2.2m seems incredibly cheap though?
-
Thank you very much, Vectis, that means a lot coming from you. Seriously though, it wasn't something I'd seen here so I figured I'd post it. It's not like it's from two seasons ago; the article is ten days old.
-
I'd rather we took the risk on Morgan for this one. Stick him in goal please.
-
Mirror reporting we're after Orjan Nyland from Molde for £2.2m. Can't say I know much about him other than he plays for Norway. Obviously, take with a heaped teaspoon of salt - it is the Mirror after all.

I think our starting 11 last season was stronger, but we have better strength in depth this season - Targett > Fox, Yoshi/Gardos > Hooiveld, and Reed's proven useful too. I'd choose Bertrand over Shaw too, but only because of how injury prone Shaw is.

At the end of the day, it's a moot point. The technology will be happening, probably in time for the next world cup, whether you like it or not. All you've shown here is your lack of ability to have a reasoned debate.
-
This would make sense. The fact that an incident occurs and within 10 seconds everybody watching on Sky (and sometimes in the stadium) can see if the decision was right or wrong is frankly a joke.
-
Because everybody gathering round the referee or walking off to chat to the manager and grab a drink doesn't 'hamper the flow of the game', right? Surely the tech comes into play when the ball goes out, rather than interrupting the game, it's not a difficult concept. There's no point arguing with you, you've obviously decided on your opinion and won't budge. Doesn't make a difference. Goal line technology has been a success; the refereeing this season has been a shambles almost unanimously. The combination of these two means there will be more technology coming into the game, no doubt about it.
-
There's a fairly obvious clue in his username as to why he's so against video tech. Strangely enough, I seem to remember a lot of posters on here saying similar things about goal line technology. What a disaster that's been, right?

What on Earth are you going to find to complain about in a few years when we're regularly challenging for top 4 spots?

Total of 189 minutes played, around 38 minutes per appearance. I think you're being a bit harsh. Personally I'd try to loan him for another season.
