Yes it can, we've got an awesome set up there now, it's pretty hard to f#ck it up and we might get some one with a bit more tact in charge. My biggest hope is that whoever takes over tries to patch up relations with Le Tiss etc.

Ah well, still backed by billionaires, hardly going to be a fire sell is there and he was a bit of a stroppy c#nt.

Oh, I tuned in to that bit and thought they said they'd just been hearing the views of Morgan Schneiderlin and then repeated it a few minutes later. Bit pointless referring to stuff from nearly a year ago
-
Pretty sure they said he was on the phone to them a minute ago?
-
Schneiderlin just said all the players would be considering their positions if Cortese left.
-
Not to do with money according to Talksport, he's just ****ed that she wants more of a role in the running of things which is going against what they agreed last summer
-
But at the same time, he's been trusted with running the club to the best of his ability and I'm sure everyone agrees having her involved in the running of the club would be a negative thing, so he's doing his job correctly by kicking up a fuss
-
The financial world is certainly a lot more healthy then when the Liebherrs took over as well, so it shouldn't be a massive ask.

Inb4 Cortese does a Puncheon

I guess it's different if you're on a contract of a set length, otherwise players could just resign and there'd be no transfer fees
-
Who would YOU want to own/run the club?

Cortese? Morality? He's done a quality job but really? -

P Diddy, sh#t would be so cash. -
Last time rumours of him leaving arose it was about money for transfers, now there's more rumours in another transfer window where we've said we're not going to sign anyone. He's clearly just applying some pressure to get some money for signings
-
If you ever thought he could do well in the Premier League you're frankly an absolute plank.

The Sun: Saints looking to sign Diego for 1.6m
Pastor Patrón replied to Wiggles31's topic in The Saints
I instantly thought "a £1.6million signing? eww gross" but he seems pretty decent, gotta be worth a punt on a short contract, maybe a tad small since we lack physicality upfront. -
No he hasn't, it's just paper talk. All good youngsters are constantly linked with joining top clubs, we should know that as much as everyone. If we can sign Osvaldo we can sign a Derby player.

Struggling to get excited by our league campaign
Pastor Patrón replied to bender's topic in The Saints
Same, it was the most enjoyable season I can remember until everyone got injured. We were one of the best three teams in the league and playing a good style, if we can get that back we can push for 6th place and have a very realistic chance of winning the cup. The most important thing this season is that we build up the clubs profile to make it easier to attract better players this summer and to keep the ones we've got. It's just grating that they're not strengthening the one or two remaining positions that would make us a top team when we're so close to it. -
Will Hughes at Derby would be pure piff in our system, as would Halilovic.

£30 million for for Luke Shaw should we take it?
Pastor Patrón replied to modern matron's topic in The Saints
It's a big fee but not a club transforming amount and could easily be spent on two dud signings so why risk it? Swapping him for Lukaku would be the only move I'd even consider. -
Great to see him doing well, gaining a fully performing £15mill player is a huge boost to any club

Post Match Reaction: SAINTS 1-0 West Brom

Gazza and Davis aren't capable Premiership keepers. -
Beckham would've been proud of that

That's certainly reassuring, thank you. -

Whilst it was a good save, lets not go crazy, it was an awful shot weakly aimed at the centre of the goal as well. I wouldn't say that makes up for the Arsenal game as I'd expect most capable Prem keepers to have kept it out.
