  1. Think there’s a bit of a misunderstanding here. He wasn’t “unsighted for the goal”, he is “legally blind”.
  2. Has Corberan been sacked? Interesting to see his name appear - the WBA guest on TSP last champ season talked about him like he was the messiah. Haven’t really followed his progress since.
  3. I’m not excited by Gaz in any way but I don’t need to be excited at this point, I just need normality. A manager who can organise a defence and set and expect high professional standards, and not try to do anything weird. We have good enough players to beat teams without an amazing tactical and philosophical master plan. We just need more discipline in defence and a lot more intent in attack. At least he has experience and isn’t a wildcard. Same could be said of Carrick I guess, neither thrill me, but we just need decent standards for a rebuild right now.
  4. Definitely. Fellows can't really defend and Manning doesn't cross the halfway line. One of the many problems that is so too obvious to everyone on earth except the people in the club.
  5. That little play where he and manning just played it to each other 4 times while Jander is standing in front of them really made me laugh.
  6. Not hard to guess that Aribo and Edozie who haven't wanted to be involved are on the naughty list. Flynn too who's spat the dummy about 4 times since RM left, or just been "too sick to play". I would guess THB thinks he's too good for the club too, the way he carries on every time we concede like it's everyone else's fault. I don't agree that it's unlikely to be Stephens - he carries on like a twat on the field, pulling hair and picking fights with players 10 times better than him - so why not off the field too?
  7. That’s true, I’d forgotten Nathan was in a job… maybe blanked it out for my own psychological safety. Russell actually did achieve the main thing he was hired to do, however imperfectly, he was just shit in the PL… so from one point of view kinda supports the point.
  8. All the recruitment odds lists are managers out of work. Would love us to proactively poach a good manager we actually want instead of choosing from the reject bin. Ends up costing them the same if you pay out a contract every 6 months.
  9. "This director of football is too shit!" said Goldilocks, "and THIS director of football is too good!" "Ah, this director of football is just right! ... actually never mind let's get another shit one"
  10. swap Roerslav for Wee Man, surely
  11. I agree with this. I think of it a similar way: last season we were the 2nd worst team ever in the premier league. Ever! So the question is, how many championship teams would have done a better job than us? There must surely be at least a handful - teams who just missed out, teams with less mental managers etc. So I really don't see "played in the prem last season" = "really good in the championship". I don't deny the money spent, but it's clearly been spent in the wrong areas... and we're left with a squad that is one half a record breakingly shit team, and the other half brand new and still figuring out how to an impact. and neither half with a good keeper or striker...... obviously.
  12. A total stranger in a thread of Facebook comments pointed out that the current City assistant is Craig Fleming, who worked for us under Ralph. Possible he's there to catch up with an old mate?
  13. Ryan Manning dribbling forwards in the opposition half literally looking over his shoulder for a backwards pass 😆 so bad. Runs into a defender and the ball goes backwards. Phew!
  14. Brilliant finish. Charles looks better every game.
  15. wouldn't that be in an increase in visibility? 😆
  16. Morris looks a very good signing for Derby, best of the 3 you mentioned (though I agree all would have improved our team substantially). I find it hard to believe we aren't a more attractive prospect than Derby - so very frustrating we weren't in for him. I think we should start flexing our supposed financial muscle and taking the best players off clubs around us.
  17. I would like large portions of our squad to spend ten years in a Siberian labour camp. Is that an option?
  18. I think in January we need to spend some cash on a genuine ball winning and holding centre forward. He doesn’t even need to score a bag, just give some purpose to our balls into the box.
  19. forget the practicalities of wages etc, in a general sense, would people prefer JWP or Downes? genuinely interested to hear what people think about that.
  20. ha, that is definitely true. I just feel the little moments where he gets the ball, he has a good touch, makes a smart and simple decision, and then after 0.0001 seconds we shit ourselves again.
  21. Fraser does bring a certain calmness and simplicity to the team's play when he comes on. Maybe he is a lucky charm.
  22. Agree, for his faults it's clear he brings something different to the team, and not much is said about all the chances he sniffs out early through his pace. Also remember he is a year younger than Ronnie Edwards!!
  23. Danny's got a lovely full head of hair, that's what a couple seasons on the bench in the PL can get you
  24. stewart looks absolutely gassed, most minutes in a week for him in a long time I guess? think I'd swap him just for fresh hassling legs and to let him recover.
  25. I don't think any of our players would finish that chance. Game plan of 4,000 passes between the CBs for some reason not working. Jander, Charles, Manning and Fellows need to present much much earlier for the ball. Think Manning is one of the most static full backs i've ever seen.
