  1. Looks like the odds on Koeman have drifted and Ranieri is down to 5/2 in places. Gulp!
  2. Bloody hell. Desperate or what?
  3. Its clearly a comedy account but not mine!
  4. LOL, 'fraid not.
  5. @PositiveKrueger I've just had a wonderful chat with @SimonPeach here at the Sun Life Stadium. Liverpool won't get him cheap, I assure you. #SaintsFC
  6. Simon Peach has just spoken with Ralph in Miami so it looks like there'll be no news for at least a few days.
  7. Bugger ... I'll calm down now then!
  8. I might be reading this wrong but Betfred, BetVictor, Ladbrokes, William Hill and Betfair also seem to have suspended betting.
  9. I think it's fairly clear that Lallana was going to leave from his 'I've had some great memories here' speech at the Awards Dinner, if not before. Not sure what it is the board have supposedly done wrong here - he's had a great season, so there's demand for him from the 'bigger clubs, it's going to happen. I think Shaw will probably leave too although of that I'm not so certain. If he doesn't go this year, he'll be off in January or next year - not the board's fault, it's what happens. Wait until the new boss gets his feet under the table, then we will undoubtedly lose a few players and no doubt some new one's will come in too. All this noise is happening because the board haven't accepted offers on him so far and to my mind, that's a good thing isn't it?
  10. I see that Bet365, BWIN, 32Red, StanJames, Betway, Boylesports and Betdaq have suspended betting on the new boss today. All others have RK shortening and the rest, bar one or two exceptions, are drifting.
  11. Spooky, I only watched that episode last night!
  12. So, a hack with nothing better to do as the club aren't telling him anything has a sulk and comes up with a story that all the players are unhappy, gets called on it my MLT and can't explain why and the place goes into meltdown about what a shambles of a board we have. As far as I can see, MoPo has gone and he was going to leave anyway. Not sure there is anything they could have done about Lambert apart from royally **** him off by not letting him go and apart from that, the club have been true to their word and are turning down bids for our players (it's not their fault that clubs are making bids for our talented players btw, it was inevitable after last season) as they said they would until the new manager is appointed. Same goes for renewing contacts I imagine. They're not going to renew contracts for players that might not be in the new bosses plans. Hold tight, it might all end well.
  13. Twilight generally means towards the end of a career. Yes, Lambert's career had taken an upturn in the last twelve months (and arguably since he signed for Saints) but I don't think there's any denying that he's in his twilight years. As for refusing a bid for a player, how is that incompetent and who said it's because the bid was too low and not because he's not for sale, at least until the new boss gets his feet under the table? Talk about hysteria. Jeez
  14. I'm really hoping it'll be Koeman but knowing Saints we'll end up with Alan Curbishley or Neil Warnock.
  15. Maybe they want a manager in quickly then they can offload Lallana, Shaw, Lambert and spider and grab the cash, blaming the new boy for team selection. Kerching.
  16. Rubbish tonight. Half an hour of ukip propaganda (again) and then pointless waffle.
  17. Personally I think it's ******, why would Liverpool buy Lambert? I think the press have come up with the Lambert /scouse link and put 2 and 2 together. Kruger says no one's going until the new boss gets in. He's admitted mistakes already and if he's ****ed up here then his credibility is gone.
  18. I actually agreed with his first point... but maybe not the way he articulated it.
  19. Yes but it's easier for people to blame to EU to help their bolster their blinkered view of the EU. It reminds me of the Life of Brian quote 'What have the Romans ever done for us'.
  20. Yep, it's all the EU's fault that Greece borrowed more than they could afford.
  21. Some could argue that the far right always does well in times of hardship and recession. Let's just hope the economies of Europe improve quickly to dissipate this threat until the next recession.
  22. I realised what I'd said after I'd posted it but couldn't be bothered to change it. Thought I might get away with it but should have known better :-)
  23. What policies are they then? Anyone know apart from leaving the EU? People certainly haven't voted for them because of their 'policies' and the only party offering a definite OUT of Europe only managed 28% of the vote. More than other individual party granted but where you've only got one policy, it's clear that the majority have voted against it. Doesn't seem to me that the majority like their one policy to me. Indeed the prevalence of the far right in Europe, including in GB should be a frightening development for any right minded person.
  24. I love an election but at some stage I need to be going to bed... Work tomorrow. Why can't they have elections on a Friday?
