If Shaw does go, I'd happily take Hernandez and some cash. He's looked good since he's been on tonight and I thought he did well last time he came on for Mexico. Hernandez and Pelle as the front two works for me, or Pelle up front with Hernandez and Rodriguez out wide.

Guan didn't say she'd said that but that 'she knows that may depend on how many goals the new striker scores'. and you seem to be agreeing with her. The point in question here though is that Guan referred to striker as opposed to strikers which makes me think that one new one is in the bag.

I read this as Hernandez as part of the Shaw deal. Looks like that may have been agreed but doesn't mean we won't get another striker, it's just that this is the one that's pretty much done. IMHO.
