The article mentioned that both clubs hope to reach agreement on Friday. From all reports, Tadic was talking about joining other clubs before coming here but it seems that Pelle wants to stay with Ronnie. Could therefore be done quickly. Deal agreed in the morning, medical lunchtime, press conference 3pm. Job done. Unless there's someone else of course :-)

I was wondering who they would announce at or before the press conference tomorrow. I couldn't believe Ronnie would turn up without more good news.

I'm not sure people are upset with Lovren and Lallana for leaving, it's the manner of their leaving that is the issue. I'm sure that if Tadic had gone on strike and spoken of how he wanted to leave Twente whilst playing for them last season then I think their fans might have thought him to be a proper **** too. However, if you happen to leave in the manner of Lambert, or Shaw then they go with our best wishes. Maybe it's the players that need to accept their position in world football rather than the fans?

Not sure he said too much untoward. Just said that Tadic is amazing and looked at someone when the name Forster was mentioned. Didn't seem to confirm or deny it. With regard to Lovrens, we all knew that anyway didn't we?

Here's another one: Enschede - The transfer of FC Twente player Dusan Tadic to Southampton is around. The clubs have come to an agreement and the player has been given yes to the Premier League club. As is known, Ronald Koeman, the star player of FC Twente wanted to add to his squad. Southampton pays an amount between 14 and 15 million euros for Tadic. The Serbian winger is currently already in England. If he successfully completes the medical examination tomorrow (Tuesday), he will then put the signature on the contract with the English club. Tadic may possibly already anyhow Wednesday for the first time at Southampton. Tadic finally played two seasons for FC Twente. Before he came to the Netherlands in action for FC Groningen.

We should keep him, fine him whatever the maximum fine is and drop him to the reserves for a few months until he sees the error of his ways. He can tell everyone how great Liverpool is from there.

Coach Alfred Schreuder said afterwards that the attacker was not playing to avoid the risk of injury: Tadic will in fact be in the days to transfer to Southampton start to finish. / The 25-year-old Tadic is the first purchase of Ronald Koeman , who in the Serb sees a suitable successor for the Liverpool left Adam Lallana. Personally, I think it's got **** all to do with the club's ambition. I think he's saying whatever he can to get out of the club. The only thing that matters to someone like Lovren is the amount of cash he can squeeze out of the highest bidder ... the greedy ****

Bit of a ridiculous analogy really. Clearly a bank has nothing to do with owning a football team. The strength of any company, is based on the value of its assets and it's cash flow. In those terms, Saints are in a very strong position. The point about having cash in the bank is that the much maligned board have done an excellent job extracting so much money out of the sale of two players that were going to leave in any case. If that's not good business, I don't know what is. Players will come. No doubt we won't all agree that they're the right ones for this club but I would like to think that we've waited for Ronald to get here before deciding which ones to bring in. Negotiations taking longer than a week isn't unusual by any stretch of the imagination.
