So more of a 'nice to have' than someone essential for us to finish 8th as we managed to finish 8th without this attacking squad player last year. By the way the 'attacking squad player' would be the sort of person I mean that wouldn't get a game. We're not going to get high quality players coming here to sit on the bench, we're not Liverpool after all

Are you really suggesting that Koeman came into the role without knowing exactly what was going on with Schneiderlin and Lovren? Do you not think that either he or his advisers have access to the Internet or newspapers then? Those two were in the news long before he got here. I think you're very much underestimating Koeman if you think he turned up here with his eyes closed. He would have known more about the goings on at the club before he arrived than anyone on this forum does now. You seem to think he turned up, was told a pack of lies by the board and bought it all without making his own enquiries. Just a ridiculous suggestion.

Man City Chelsea The Arsenal Man Utd Saints somewhere between 8th and 10th. Newcastle and West Ham have strengthened but I can't see anyone else catching us. Also think we'll have a good go at one I the cups this year after last year's furore (if that's the right word) Relegated WBA Sunderland Burnley

No but I couldn't renew my daughters ticket online as they hadn't seen proof of her age, even though they'd seen it when she got her ticket the season before! They also managed to renew it at the ticket office without seeing evidence of her age too! Bit bonkers.

I believe your comment was that we would be lucky to finish in the top ten. I asked who you thought would finish above us that didn't last year. I'm assuming by your sidestepping of the question that you realise your comment was somewhat misplaced.

If those other teams 'strengthen', then they too by definition have the 'unknowns' that might turn out to be crap. Therefore, if they don't strengthen I think it unlikely that they'll catch us and if they do strengthen then they have the same risks which we do and unless all their signings are brilliant and ours are crap then we have status quo. Personally I can't see us finishing outside the top ten and probably we'll finish about 8th again given the teams that finished below us last year. IMO
