Wheres you normal optimism? Were we not going to "smash" Watford "easy"?
-
Q) Biggest flop/waste of money? A) Boufal or Ramirez? Hoping this inspires a Boufal masterclass second half
-
Pellegrino was never my choice, not sure he featured on anyones top 3 when it was originally clear that Puel was leaving. Having said that i do feel for him. The squad looks very average and our failure to bring in the creative AM weve needed for 15 months was poor.
-
Silva is a **** manager look at hull remember
-
1 - 0 Watford its been coming
-
You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. Squad is very very average.
-
Potshots.... Any shots would be nice. 20 mins in and neither side has managed a shot on target (or off) Watford looking the more dangerous just now and dominating possession
-
So did we do the business "big style" or was it "catastrophic" and or "pitiful" You're all over the place mate. Slow down, relax

Cortese was a control freak right?

An Italian banker by trade... What did you expect. He was just helping out his mate Markus But still achieved more in 4 years than Les has in 50 years
-
From - 10 (league 1) to top 10 (premier league) the fact an Italian banker with ZERO football experience was able to achieve more in 4 years than Les has in 50 will probably always rile old Les. Shows quite how hard this job is.... An Italian banker just waltzing in from nowhere and smashing it
-
Unsure why he ever started using Leicester as the benchmark and evidence that Leslie was doing a grand job. odd Leicester have won the Premier league, Championship (x2), League one, League cup (x2) and BBC Sports Personality Team of the Year since we last won a trophy (unless the JPT counts of course )

12th and a champions league quarter final... Fyi we finished 2 points above Leicester "stuttering and stumbling around the relegation zone" FC last season
-
Apparently "real" fans are just happy to have a club Only trolls, negative posters, dinlows and people in bedsits want to see SFC win something or be ambitious. Fyi Ambition = doing a pompey
-
We cant seem to compete while the gap is small. Spurs are that annoying fly in the room when people play the "wages" card and "our max potential" it's normally always followed with but, if, when, errr Leicester too - bloody Leicester, champions of England and quarter final of the champions league.
-
2000-2004 we had 4 top 12 finishes (10,11,8,12) plus a cup final in 2003.

I have that tattooed on both arms

Reed took charge when we were flying - consecutive promotions and a top team and manager in place. The only way was up. Fast forward a few years and we are nicely nestled into the mid table gang. For me thats been disappointing. Plus Reeds signings and appointments + ability (lack of) to hold onto top managers, staff and players. Hes also won nothing (ever....in the game nearly 50 years as player, manager, coach and director) and the once fabled academy looks as dry as ever. On the plus side he's made us sustainable and built the club value for Kat. We are in good shape to push forward again. I wouldn't be surprised if hes moved on this summer, im unsure how popular he is with fans or players and personally id like to see Nic C return or someone of his ilk. Reed has too much respect for the top 7 and has put a ceiling on our success. His recent management appointments poor (Puel) and recent signing very mixed. He also leaves glaring squad gaps year after year. Time for a change IMHO.

Posh spice never smiles either... coincidence?

Thank you Has us at 13th, but doesn't seem to include fees received for Gazzaniga (£2m reported) or the loan fees we got for Reed, Clasie or Gallagher. Plus of course the nice bonus we get from the AOC transfer. Probably leaves us around the 15th spot which is an improvement on previous years.
-
First time in 4 summers (since Nic left) that we haven't sold our best player(s) Fonte replacement and partners for Romeu = Still short up top + still missing that AM + GK issues and best player on strike All in 7/10
-
Where do we sit just now in the net transfer spend table? I have us around negative £15m all in.
-
Great news about VVD and big thanks to Leslie and new owners for keeping the word this time. 1 out of 3 so far. 1) keep VVD 2) get him playing for us again 3) buy that AM weve desperately needed for 15 months.

We signed Puncheon in 2010 - Dele Alli would have been 14 Shame we didn't get him
