Time flies - great few days.
Hopefully we get another similar trip soon.
Piz for Pizza, beers at the Duomo, Saints fans at the canal climbing the white van and the Benali stickers everywhere.
The comments from Mopo after Nic left + after he left for Spurs suggested he was here to work with Nic and not Les.
Does Les have a history of spin? https://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?57741-Spin-Master-Reed
When Les Reed was born he drove his mom home from the hospital.
Les Reeds can kill two stones with one bird.
Les Reed can hear sign language.
Giraffes were created when Les Reed uppercutted a horse.
Les Reeds calendar goes straight from March 31st to April 2nd. No one fools Les Reed
Les Reeds dog is trained to pick up his own poop because Les will not take **** from anyone.
We had some giving Les Reed credit for signing Rickie Lambert. Despite being assistant manager on a voluntary basis at Bishop's Stortford FC in the Conference South at the time and joining SFC 9 months after Lambert signed.
He was earning 3.2m a year (67k pw) so assume his payout was the full 6.4m reduced when he takes a new role.
Probably explains why he declined the Bayern Munich job
Phil Parkinson got to a final with a team from league 2.
They had to play 46 league games, 4 fa cup games, 8 EFL cup games, 5 football league trophy games and 3 play off games.
They finished 7th and won the playoff final
Phil Parkinson!
What horses!! If you get to a league cup final you are the bestest!
Look at the high calibre managers that have done it over the last few years - its an elite list of super managers
Gus Poyet
Michael Laudrup
Phil Parkinson
Malay Mackay
Alex Macleish
Harry Redknapp
Paul Jewell
Steve McClaren
Then you have the more prestigious FA Cup which also proves that only elite managers can reach a final.
Alan Pardew
Tim Sherwood
Steve Bruce
Roberto Martínez
Tony Pulis
Avram Grant
David Moyes
Dave Jones
Harry Redknapp
Dennis Wise
As the days go by the more magical last season becomes
Puel averaged 1.2 points per game. Pellegrino 1.1
They are both **** managers.
Arguing over Puel vs Pellegrino is like asking if you want a broken left arm or right arm..... You dont want either.
Clear out from top to bottom needed ASAP (rocky)
The signings, the management appointments mostly all wrong past 2 seasons.
Club needs a shake up top to bottom or the decline will continue.
Zero passion, style or idea just now.
Confidence is huge.
Puel took over a very very confident team. We were In Europe and had a brilliant season before.
Puel somehow managed to kill all the confidence and feel good amongst players and fans... It was remarkable how quickly he killed our mojo.
Im not sure pellegrino is the right man and there were better options available, however he needs to try and rebuild a broken squad.... Hes inheriting a big job and could realistically take a long time to undo the damage Puel caused.
